What a great moment for the sport of MotoGP.
Stoner has shown great courage to leave a team that he has collaborated with to win a MotoGP WC against the greatest motorcycle racer of this time. He leaves a team that he has won more races with then any other racer other than the greatest motorcycle racer of this time. He leaves a team where he was a clear number one to go to a team that has 2 riders that are potentially his equal. He leaves to go to a team that has won less than a 3rd of the number of races in this era than he has won himself.
Stoner has shown courage that only 1 rider has before in this current era - Valentino Rossi.
In 2004 Rossi left Honda for Yamaha because Honda did not show him the respect he deserved. Rossi backed him self and went to a team that had not been successful. Stoner leaves a team that despite giving them so much, failed him when they should have had his back. By offering ridiculous money to Lorenzo and Pedrosa last season Ducati has shown Stoner no respect and Stoner has shown the same courage as Rossi did by leaving and going to a team with little recent success.
Unfortunately the usual culprits will be negative but if you can not see that Stoner has proved himself to be a man then you are still just a boy.
