....? Are you kidding me? While I am surprised at the choice, Duhamel just gets quicker with age. I assume you didn't see him racing against Mladin last week.

Does this due have a beard & was he Nickys team mate in AMA at some point? Seen a program with Matt Le Blank the other week about ama (it was a few years old).

Still in AMA SBK, still on a Honda.

He's actually on par with the fastest guys in AMA SBK. What gets lost in the domination of the series by Spies and Mladin is the fact that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki (and Ducati when they were involved) is at least a step or two behind Suzuki. Put them all on equal machinery, you'd be hard pressed to pick a winner out of Spies, Mladin, Duhamel, Zemke or Eric Bostrom.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (frosty58 @ Jul 3 2007, 08:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>anybody remember the smokin joes camel team?
Of course. The days of Miggy and the Smokin' Joes Honda versus Doug Chandler and Muzzy Kawasaki.

DuHamel is a great rider. He is as old as Bayliss, and just as good. So if "old" means bad, then they are badass.

I'm bummed that they didn't offer the ride to Jake Zemke. But then again, DuHamel is a proven winner. Its too bad that some of you on the other side of the pond don't get to see some of these guys, cuz I think you would increase your admiration for some of these AMA guys. DuHamel is Canadian. Both him and Mladin have traded many records here in America. It's amazing more of you haven't heard of him. He has won championships in the AMA. He is a successful rider and a great and funny guy. He always makes time for the fans. Check out his bio and stats.

I dont rate Bayliss as highly as most but this is rediculous.
