Rossi looked good yesterday and I thought he would qualify better then he did and feel he needed to with his injury.

what happend to rossi? he was pretty fast in free practice..but was nowhere in the qualify session..

I'll be eating my words soon..i never believed that pedrosa will be that good at donny...i've said so before the firsts practice..
For the suzuki team will have to see if the tyres lasts a race.
Melandri he was good..maybe he'll be up there.
Capirossi - the new strategy worked for him -he missed the second free practice and will mis the warm-up session in the bid to save himself for the race. we'll have to see how he feels in the second part of the race.
About Rossi and Hayden..i won't say anything...it's racing and we're talking about the doctor and the leader of the championship..so i'll expect them to be up...

I don't know what happened to Rossi, as I was only tuning into the live timing but I could only deduce that he didn't finish quali to preserve his wrist for tomorrow... did that last race, which is actually a good strategy if you ask me: preserve the wrist, sacrifice the quali then make a come back at the race, rather than get the pole, have a huge pain, and gradually drop at the race tomorrow.

But that's only my opinion.

If his Assen performance is anything to go by, Rossi is still a podium contender. Race win is a big maybe but I wouldn`t be surprised to see him on the box. Luckily for Rossi, Hayden is on the 4th row with him. Hayden is still his biggest title threat and Rossi`s race pace will probably outdo Hayden`s. Pedrosa could well win this. What`s the weather like? Maybe Dani will take advantage of one of his only chances to take a win at Donny: In dry weather. That would boost him up the ladder and get him within striking distance of Hayden (Assuming Hayden dosent shoot through the pack Rossi style to the podium) and we could have a 3 way battle going for the championship. But if Dani wants to be a contender a little more consistency wont hurt. Consistency will win this championship.

...... Pedrosa! .... is my luck turning or what? ... i've got no excuse this week, i haven't fallen off a cliff or tripped down the stairs ... my bad luck isn't being used up!
<
... who cares!

Rossi should get a podium .... but it doesn't make sense for him to 'sacrifice' qualifying to preserve his wrist ... he would be sitting out on the warm up and free practices if he wanted to do that ... qualifying actually matters...
<

suzukis can do well if their tyres last out ... but i doubt that...

CMON! RAIN RAIN RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..... tttt i know im dreamin' , i've been on the weather channel all today waiting for the little symbol to change from the happy sun to a black cloud ..... yup i got no life

I thought so too. Unlike Rossi, Dani ever mentioned that Donnington isn't his favourite circuit. That's why I'm pretty excited he's on pole.

Rossi is seldom good in qualifying. But for today's race, I bet he will certainly catch up with the guys in front. He's desperate to win remember?Need to catch up fast on the points.

RAIN IS NOT GOOD, Katt. We've got enough of injuries and don't want more. But then again, if the rain really falls heavily, I hope it will wash away the mole on The Mole's face, so there's no more mole left on The Mole. I guess that's bad luck for you.

the weather in england is ALWAYS surprising... I'll bet with ya that this afternoon it will be sunny as if it never rained this morning

A heavy rain shower fell early this morning and, although the track is drying quickly, further showers could fall throughout the day...

So after warm-up session we have:

1. Nicky Hayden USA Repsol Honda Team 1min 41.771 secs
2. Shinya Nakano JPN Kawasaki Racing Team 1min 42.048 secs
3. Chris Vermulen AUS Rizla Suzuki MotoGP 1min 42.293 secs
4. Alex Hofmann GER Ducati Marlboro Team 1min 42.416 secs
5. Marco Melandri ITA Fortuna Honda 1min 43.372 secs
6. Valentino Rossi ITA Camel Yamaha Team 1min 43.537 secs
7. Casey Stoner AUS Honda LCR 1min 43.674 secs
8. John Hopkins USA Rizla Suzuki MotoGP 1min 43.855 secs
9. Randy de Puniet FRA Kawasaki Racing Team 1min 43.875 secs
10. James Ellison GBR Tech 3 Yamaha 1min 44.986 secs
11. Dani Pedrosa SPA Repsol Honda Team 1min 45.294 secs
12. Carlos Checa SPA Tech 3 Yamaha 1min 46.296 secs
13. Makoto Tamada JPN Konica Minolta Honda 1min 46.949 secs
14. Colin Edwards USA Camel Yamaha Team 1min 47.587 secs
15. Kenny Roberts Jr USA Team Roberts 1min 49.094 secs
16. Ivan Silva SPA Pramac d'Antin MotoGP 1min 49.197 secs
17. Jose Luis Cardoso SPA Pramac d'Antin MotoGP 1min 51.977 secs
18. Loris Capirossi ITA Ducati Marlboro Team 2min 14.660 secs

Loris made only 2 laps to check the setupup of the bike. I don't think if this session will help the riders if there is going to be dry.

The thing with Moto GP is that you can start from P12 and work your way up to P3 or whatever coming out of the first corner. :l
