I don't think the Desmo's are the 1st to be ditched should Ducati decide to do something really radical (for them) next season. Maybe they'll follow the Japanese using aluminum alloy for frame, Or not use the engine as a stress member. Or ditch the 90 V for a narrow angle V to lengthen the swing arm. I don't think there's a point for them to ditch the Desmo since it could rev as much as the Pneumatics, plus given the limited number of engines next year, fiddling with something unproven (for them) could me a disaster.
On topic, good to see Ducati retaining Hayden. Having continuity would be beneficial for them for sure. I just hope next season, they listen to their riders, instead of the computer.
