DONE DEAL, Hayden rides Ducati next year

"Hayden's RC211V was modified to put the crankshaft higher, the clutch and gearbox lower, and to lengthen the swing arm"

im very glad hayden has stayed on with ducati,i think hes the man to help them develop the bike to have more of an allround ridability. Personally i dont think stoner is good for them from a development point of view thats why they were asking other riders to step in and give feedback (not taking the piss here), i say this because stoner has a freakish style and they way he progresses with the bike makes it less suitable for other riders.

i think ducati like haydens work ethic and clearly its working as hes improved a huge amount since the start of the season, something melandri failed to do.

No surprises here.
Unless Ducati was un willing to resign him to the 2nd year there was no way he was leaving.
The best indicator of a person's future behavior is to see how they have acted in the past. Nicky's
always been a put your head down and work through problems and see things till the end type of guy.
With his recent improvements it was clear that he felt that the bike was something he could get results out of. There was no way he would jump ship to another unknown unless he felt the bike was a complete disaster.

I don't think the Desmo's are the 1st to be ditched should Ducati decide to do something really radical (for them) next season. Maybe they'll follow the Japanese using aluminum alloy for frame, Or not use the engine as a stress member. Or ditch the 90 V for a narrow angle V to lengthen the swing arm. I don't think there's a point for them to ditch the Desmo since it could rev as much as the Pneumatics, plus given the limited number of engines next year, fiddling with something unproven (for them) could me a disaster.

On topic, good to see Ducati retaining Hayden. Having continuity would be beneficial for them for sure. I just hope next season, they listen to their riders, instead of the computer.

And how often since the 800s came along has any non-factory rider been on the
podium?
lol yeah so hayden has been one of the factory riders, how many times has he been on the podium, let alone been able to realistically even win a race? hahha just goes to prove hayden should not be on a factory ride.

Well, it's no secret that the Honda 800 was developed primarily for Dani. Also, since the 800 rule, Rossi himself only was able to win 4 races on Michelins.

I'm convinced the chase after Lorenzo was meant to replace Stoner. We will probably never know what is happening between Stoner and Ducati, but something is definitely happening that isn't just health or training related, imo

I agree. It may be that stoner is going to retire, but the hrc riders are not actually signed yet as far as I know.

retire hahaha. how many times does he have to say he will be back? jeeze make up your own news any more why dont ya.

its no suprise that they missed out on horhey to only a few days later resign hayden. stoners contract is not on the table anyway, hes got an iron clad contract. and u really think they would let stoner go? even if he races 5 races a season, he would still acheive more than what hayden would in a whole season.

stupid stupid people got your blinkers on as usual

The question is not whether stoner want ducati, but rather whether he wants them. Valentino rossi said stoner could win on a honda, presumably a more expert opinion than most.

However it is now strongly rumoured that pedrosa is about to sign for hrc, and hayden's signing which I don't disapprove may be an indication of resurgent health for stoner and rapprochement with ducati, and suppo's scarcity in the press of late has been said by some to be significant.

the new engine rule is likely to change before next season. i read that the powers that be are considering modifying ( more engines ) or scrapping the rule altogether.

I don't have the time to look up the statistics for you, but you really should since he's been on
the podium many times in the last 6 or 7 years. What's your problem? You just start following Moto GP last year? Or are you just the latest Pinky incarnation?

yeah give us stats of his total podiums in the last 6 years. and remember u can say at least half of those have been on by far the best bike. i dont think they even compare to that of pedrosa or even whats horhey has done in his 2 years

Stat don`t matter mate,Nicky has a championship under his belt,Dani and Jorge (good as they are) haven`t acheived that yet.Nicky remained consistent to his goal, without wishing to disrespect any rider, they have fallen a lot these last two years.

As usual - your point is pointless. Just more meaningless pettifogging from Pink-World.
In the last 6 years almost no riders have been on the podium on satellite bikes except in the rain.
And Pedro and Lorenzo have been on full factory rides. As usual - yer just pulling .... out of
your ... at random and flinging it. Just like the monkeys in the zoo. Now go have yourself
a bannana.
