Didn't expect this from Rossi.....

This: "I don't think anyone likes the tyre situation. There's no battle any more." Is obviously an answer to a direct question, & thus taken out of context.
well spotted goatee

we all know hes not a 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th place rider, its probably getting him down being not where he wants to be.

Rossi Def is by far the best rider on the grid.

I think part of Rossi's frustration comes from the fact that this is no longer the case.

yeah it'd be easier not to get into it, i just think its one of the factors in his mood because its new for Rossi to feel beaten, its never happened before.

he got beaten on 2000. 2006 and probably 07, rossi said his self that he is not super human.

and they call us rossi fans cheerleaders , yet we have longer memory's then those who accuse us.

I just think that not previously when Rossi's not won the title his mentality wont have been seriously affected, rookie seasons are always learning years and i think after 06 he still believed he was the better rider. Now i'm not so sure...........

It is all Stoner's fault. Kick him out. Put someone else on his bike. The best the bike will do then is finish in about the same position where every other Duke is currently finishing.

But, at least without Stoner around the racing will be much closer, more exciting, people wont be leaving their TV sets or turning off their internet viewing. Without Stoner around there won’t be a Michelin problem.

Oh geesus almighty, Stoner is so terrible for my beloved motogp, cry, cry, cry, …yeah right!

Just give the kid credit FFS

If it's true I'm sure it lasts about 5 minutes before he thinks to himself "Oh yeah, Assen, silly me"

Roger, I actually find most of your posts knowledgeable and I agree with many of them. I agree that gp racing is about much more than rossi and stoner, and I think this forum has shifted from not giving stoner much credit to over vigorous pro-stoner posturing. You personally seem to have a fairly balanced view when not annoyed by ridiculously over the top pro-stoner posts.

But let me put this to you. If JT after being surprisingly competitive on the tech3 next year starts to feel he is not getting the same support as the full-factory yamahas and jags a 1-year deal with HRC because pedrosa has gone to suzuki and they have secretly signed lorenzo for the year after, and he wins 10 races in 2009, I defy you to
(a) not be fairly pleased
(b) not be annoyed if large numbers of people say it is all down to the honda and that it is an affront to all that is decent and right that he is beating rossi.

I actually don't think this scenario is entirely impossible.

Rossi cannot be beaten, only halted by his circumstances.

thank for the complement mate

a. i would be pleased
b. i would be annoyed.
dont get me wrong mate, i can understand some stoner fans getting a bit miffed by people who give him no credit, like i get a bit miffed when people say rossi is past it and a whiner. its all fun even if it does get a bit tedious sometimes.

we all hear what we want to hear and see what we want to see sometimes, like rossi and stoner where all human.

The things i've read from Rossi recently he sounds pretty down on motogp as a whole, if hes not careful he'll sulk his way out of any further success and eventually out of the sport. If he's not up for it hes not gonna win anything, i hope he can refresh himself over the off season, no matter what it takes.

I can understand Val being upset especially when his engine gave way at misano...what with all his fans, home gp its pretty disappointing to let all those people down, you knoew his fan club walked 10k's to the track etc etc...

but in saying this I do agree with most that Val is a bit pissed off with the whole Yamaha package that’s been in 2006/07 I would be too, so I don’t think Val is winging or wining “he’s just had enough”!!! And I do agree that he should put his foot down and give these guys an ultimatum as Yamaha are very good at just plodding along...look at what they did with maxi before Val joined Yamaha!!!

Has anybody noticed I haven’t made a Stoner quote in all this post!!!...lol..lol..lol

good to see you putting that point of view across steve, sometime's before we judge we should sit back and honestly think what we would do and say in a similar situation.
i think rossi genuinely admires stoner, ducati and bridgstone for the ace job they have done and in contrast is right pissed off with himself, yamaha and michelin for the below par job they have done, that no whining, thats venting frustration.
