[sup]I have not read every post on this thread, but Climate change does exist. Apparently it is because of (wait for it) ..................................THE SUN. [/sup]



The sun does not (and never has) give off a constant temperature. It's temperatures fluctuate because of things such as sun spot activity. During the last period of hot temperatures (on earth), it was because of extra sun-spot activity. The earth's temperatures are always rising and dropping as a result. Who would have thought, global warming was from the sun???



This whole carbon emissions stuff is political. There are many reasons to have this great big "climate change" scare. First, to tax the living .... out of everyone. Second, to ...... the growth of third world countries so first world countries can still feed off them.



Science serves an agenda. Part of that agenda is control. Scientists who represent the organizations for the awareness of "climate change" can not be trusted - they are just lackeys. There are heaps (not just a few "phantoms") of scientists who are challenging the "carbon emissions equals climate change" hypothesis. And the info is available and can be found if one wants to take the time to look...



However, I'm not suggesting pumping tons and tons of .... into the sky is not dangerous. But the dangers are perhaps different to what we are being told.

Im a scientist, and the science behind climate change is nice and all but it motivates me to do what exactly?



Nothing, because i dont feel guilty. Ok burning down forest is bad, and unbelievably stupid, so why not concentrate on prevention of stupid activities rather than a 0.5mm rise in sea level?



But i dont burn down forrests and pollute streams. Am I supposed to make a stand and stop wasting on the weekend when i go for a purposeless ride on my fossil fuel burning co2 generating two wheeled machine? Nope. Stop wasting precious electricity when i play loud electric blues with no audience other than a wife and children that think i suck? Nope.



Human reproduction is probably the biggest issue facing the planet. No one seems particularly interested in curbing reproduction. Even worse, the bible says thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife. But damn she so fine I still covet her. Damn it, im damned to hell.

If you don't want it to, then I think birdman has hit the nail on the head as far as biological science goes, the only thing I can really comment on. Also agree with save the planet for the existing children.



I am in favour of planting lots of trees/vegetation, and not cutting down the existing stuff. And if carbon schemes etc are all bunkum/pointless I am in favour of the brazilians not being told, as they seem to be endeavouring to stop the amazonian rainforest being cut down at least to some extent.



I think the Greens party in Australia are anarchist lunatics, and dishonest to boot, but some true green/environmentalist stuff makes sense even if the political parties professing it have other agendas more important to them.

We wouldnt be in this ....... mess if adam had of just not eaten the damn apple. Face it we cant even get the simplest things right. Hows the climate in hell? I heard its always hot and sunny.

Another thing i find strange. If our governments are in such belief about fossil fuels ect causing so much damage , why have i never seen any petrol stations selling bio fuels. Bio diesel has been around for years yet i have never seen anywhere that sells it. The USA used to have methanol on the pump but don't any more. Why??

Now check out the damage caused by fracking with the governments support. This climate change ........ was thrust upon us so energy company's could charge more for less. This extra revenue made drilling and fracking for oil and gas in harder to get areas more viable which means we buy less from arrabs and opec. Plus the governments get more tax revenue.



There trying to push us in to electric cars saying there better for the environment but fail to point out the energy used by the coal fired power stations to produce this electricity. The uk banned Tungsten light bulbs and forced us to use energy saving items, but in the next breath want us to drive electric vehicles

I wonder why that is? I will tell you.. So they can charge road duty on your household electric bill thus making even more money.

DING DING DING! Been saying it from the get go on Global Warming. The word "tax" has become an evil word that politicians simply cannot use and hope to get elected. Governments have become so bloated they cant operate without bleeding the populace for more " revenue",{ the new word for taxes}, so they set out to cleverly think of more ways to tax, without calling it a tax. When that doesnt work, they then try to scare the sheep into giving them more money under the guise of government saving them from themselves. Sadly, it actually works on many. Its a money problem, not a climate problem, and the only answer is to slash and burn government to levels of 30 years ago. They are the problem PERIOD.



Here is an illustration of how government works, and some want more.


Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert.​

I am just an average Joe and every bloody day when I wake up teh climate has changed



Warm one day, bloody cold the next









Sad part is, there aint bike racing on every day to dullen the pain

Well a billion tons of seawater is around one cubic kilometre - or an area one metre deep by 32Km squared



The surface area of the Gulf of California is 150,000Km2 or 387 Km squared. The Pacific is 165,000,000Km2.



A billion tons of seawater would reduce the depth of the Pacific by a few mm... Probably less than is evaporated and deposited a day.

it says billions and was just a pointer to say a lot of water has been used in this way.

The question was: "how high would sea levels be without this?"



The answer is: a few millimetres. If any discernible height change would occur at all.



I am not sure at all what your post is about - pointers, billions, hot air?
