....... original 750 interceptor/VFR750 was tough enough!!3636421381817403
Could you imagine what a total ball-buster a V4 bevel-drive would have been? Holy ....... hell of an engine to shim.

. Aprilia were well known for their fantastic 60 v twin. Now a 60 v4 would be a nice compact engine to build a chassis around imo.

A Mate's bloody recalcitrant Pantah with rooted pick up wires is killing me. Give me an HRC 2-smoke (in deference to Barry's delicateness about the correct terms) anyday.

They also prototyped a V4 Pantah.

Thats "blue-smoke" you green poseable plasticine dork!!. And yeah I agree I can't see the real goodness in many Duc's but I have to admit I liked the 1098. I'd still get an RC8 instead though.

I replaced mine with a new system. Never looked back The OEM Bosch pickups were ..... and an acknowledged achilles heel.
I met my wife on a Pantah 500 - lovely bike, that. Just a little underpowered for the track, but a nice little mover on a twisty road.

Doing that now. The wires have some remnant of insulation on them...but 90% of the pale green crap has cracked off. While that's being addressed, new pick ups are on the way. This is a 600 Pantah in a TT2 rep frame... He's done an amazing job on it. First start up was a couple of weekends ago. Ran like a dream. Now it's getting temperamental...
