They sit us in a room and say things like "a team is a group of people who percieve themself to be in a team"

frigay?

Assuming you meant Friday, are you less susceptible to brainwashing on Fridays or something?
<

BTW, you might like to try the BS bingo thing in that lecture. Sounds like it'd keep your mind focused and help to keep the brainwashing at bay.

I'm less susceptible to brainwashing when i'm not there. I hate friday

I love Friday's - they are the start of the weekend!
<

I've hated them my whole life. I'm always tired and i always hate going home friday afternoon because it feels too early to start weekend activities and too late to do anything productive. Adding to that i have a relatively busy day at uni and don't tend to go out at night because all the ruffians come out and i'm tired/poor from a week full of student nights. All in all, avoid me on friday afternoon.

Oh, no. That tears it. You're never going to make a decent engineer if you think like that.

This approach seems to have pervaded the entrirety of western civilisation. I have seen little evidence that it works. Certainly in medicine even if not designed to do so it results in obstruction of the people doing the real work. I imagine the same is true in engineering.

Out of interest, does anyone else subscribe to Tom's "they race for points not for wins" argument?
i think only riders who cant win race for points, we call them "midpackers"

Rossi has been beaten for the championship by two different riders and manufacturers in 06 & 07 and he is in a decline. He even slumped to 3rd last year in the championship. I'm tired of the Rossi worshipping & excuses, he's not the rider he once was and has been overtaken by the new breed headed by Pedrosa, Lorenzo & Stoner. It doesn't what bike or tyres he is on, he just doesn't have it anymore. The young stars on the rise are getting better and the distance is growing, its over for Rossi, Lorenzo is the number rider even in the Yamaha Fiat team beating him consistently and riding much faster.
