REALLY? Though call... both were efforts worth congratulating, both seminal to their psyches and seasons. Different but neither seems 'bigger' than the other to me.

From a purely subjective perspective, I kind of get it though. Assen is a Yamaha track, Rossi has factory Yamaha, the only other factory Yamaha rider was injured. A good win, of course, but basically what he was supposed- and should have been expected to do. The thing making it seem like more than that, is that Rossi hasn't been able to deliver previously this season.

Lorenzo's ride: simply ridiculous. I was completely flabbergasted when he popped up in 4/5th position after a few laps.

Agree, although in Valentino's defence he simply hasn't been able to ride the M1 like he used to or liked to. Much has changed during his two seasons in the wilderness including the softer carcass tyre which unlike Jorge isn't in harmony with the way Vale likes to set up the M1. When he enthused about the Aragon test - declaring he had made a major breakthrough, you simply had to sit up and listen. The new found confidence in the front end and feel under braking and corner entry will vastly improve his performance in qualifying. Racecraft? I still believe Rossi has the edge but has never faced such fierce competition. He could well reel in Marquez for third.

Very good from Vale, lets hope he shows this form when Lorenzo is back on the pace for some epic battles.

agreed. in the meantime, you know who's hammer you can suck on now...LMFAO!!!

Does anyone know what pain killing injections they give these riders? Surely they aren't going out on a morphine drip

With Rossi beating Lorenzo in qualifying whilst in hospital and then in the race 24 hours after surgery, can this thread be locked considering its now null.

Lots of little Lignocaine shots in the area?
