From a purely subjective perspective, I kind of get it though. Assen is a Yamaha track, Rossi has factory Yamaha, the only other factory Yamaha rider was injured. A good win, of course, but basically what he was supposed- and should have been expected to do. The thing making it seem like more than that, is that Rossi hasn't been able to deliver previously this season.
Lorenzo's ride: simply ridiculous. I was completely flabbergasted when he popped up in 4/5th position after a few laps.

REALLY? Though call... both were efforts worth congratulating, both seminal to their psyches and seasons. Different but neither seems 'bigger' than the other to me.
