cang, if you wade thru the ........ on this forum, you'll find the hardcore fans that take their motorcycle racing seriously...welcome aboard btw!

Thanks mate. I haven't posted so much in the past, but hope to join in more this year.

Should be a good year. Hope Rossi will be in the mix.

Stoner's slides looked nearly full lock. It looked great, but was he losing time to do this or was it actually good for the laptime? Not sure I understand this one.

Good for his laptimes.

Think of the tyre traction in vectors, when it starts to slide its actually pushing the front into the corner more than if he just railroaded it. ( what the Duc. must need ) To keep forward speed he just needs more throttle. But I think he'd be doing it to stop the front letting go too much. Hence the real advantage.

Think similar to ........ Cos ( slide angle ) = frame forward speed / rear wheel circumference speed

Keep it clean...

Comeon the guy has made it quite clear which side he is batting for ...... and hey, thats ok these days .....

he wants the Pole from Nicky

and now he has a

Boner for Stoner

but then again he's a bit graphic I guess

Please direct me to them, I think my work is done here.

Edit: wait wait, did you invoke the All Mighty?

Im not an anti religion spokes person like some on here. Not a big believer either, but when the conversation turns anti religion, you will notice i keep relatively quite.

Would you care to elaborate? I think we would all agree that Rossi's comments about Stoner not trying were intended to be taken negatively, yet since making those comments Rossi has found out that pushing on the Ducati is riskier than he had previously thought. Also, if you were to critisize Stoner in any way the first observation would be his tendancy to push too hard, and crash. Bringing his riding down a notch, all things considered was definitely a wise move and was followed by him finding his best form of the season. As for Burgess' comments, i don't see that context is relevant. JB clearly expressed that he felt some Ducati riders were having a problem that he and Valentino could fix in a small time frame, some people think that meant a specific problem, others thought it was more general. If he was being general it is clear that they have not been successful, if he is speaking generally then they may have solved the problem but in doing so have made compromises resulting in no significant increase in speed or predictability, hardly a genius move.

Burgess was talking about one issue and not the bike being fixed in 80 seconds. One problem he saw that other riders were having, and if/when they sort the bike out it will be more ridden smoothly like all of Rossi's bikes.

Stoner has always ridden the way he has on a Ducati that's why he fell of so much in 125 & 250. Only Stoner has done well on the Ducati because he was always riding on the limit and over a championship season you will generally pay for always pushing so much. To win a championship you have to ride smoother. All past winners have unless have had significant machinery advantage. People say the only way to ride the Ducati is like Stoner did, but Rossi will never throw it around like Stoner did. He has said he needs to alter his style, and Burgess has stated it's a more physical bike, but they will look to tame the Desmosedici and turn it into a consistent championship-capable bike.

All these 80 seconds comments are total bollocks.

So we agree that JB was talking bollocks when he made that comment? Or are you denying that he ever said it?

Am I denying he ever said it - what when I've just referred to it in a previous post?

Burgess was talking about getting the best setup available for an individual rider. Not turning the Desmosedici into some some God bike.

But he hasn't done very well in that respect

Well they went back to Stoner's setup for last year as a base. But how do you know that whatever Rossi's setup was on the second day at Qatar wasn't the best for him, on that track, in those conditions?

Lot's of people have been slagging off Rossi and Burgess for not being fast, but maybe the updates coming after the four races are needed for further improvement.

The rush to slate them seems a bit juvenile to me. They've only been there five minutes, and most experts are in agreement that the Desomsedici and the M1 are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Although some people are slating them to an extent, i am not one of them and i agree that isn't really wise.

I hope there are signs of improvement from them at the Estoril test. I'd love to see a tight three-way battle between Honda, Yamaha and Ducati.

Doesn't sound right to me. For one I can't see stoner calling ducati two faced publicly in those words. Jumkie has lapped it all up and used it as confirmation of his theories.

Even funnier still is all of sudden Jb's words are gospel again.......

One minute he's inflammatory, delusional, doesn't know .... about setting up bikes, 80 second blah blah blah blah.

Now for a few, well its all changed.........wonder why

I think in PS nowadays Wikipedia has now a good reference point for a new definition of 'Hypocrisy'

JB has always spoken straight. The fact that he's playing down Honda's new box far more than HRC are is very interesting.....

Thats rich Talps. Of all the Bops, U wer the most vocal about the new Honda tranny being the silver bullet ala Stoner advantage over the field; wher poor o'l Rossi just couldnt compete with such a technology. Now what? Is Burgess still half of the Divine Duo, or has he been demoted?

Ur worthless dude.

Typical reaction by you, note I never changed my mind on the box, I just pointed out the hilarious reactions to JB's latest comments by those who have been vilifying and ridiculing him for the past 6 months, above are more pathetic detraction's when your obviously flawed POV's are pointed out so easily........

Gonna ask me to leave again? Found that proof yet?
