hi bs3 welcome!

i read that sete was at brno for the 800 test yesterday....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Sete Gibernau: "Yesterday I was over the moon for Loris's win! I feel part of the family and I am always happy when the guys do well. The GP7 is a very important project and I also wanted to be here for the test. Loris said that the bike is going well and I would love to be able to test it as well but for the moment it's better not to. I should be back on the track in Malaysia: mentally I'm at 100% and I hope that the tests I'll be doing next week will confirm that I will be physically as well. The plate broke at Laguna Seca and now I've got two inside me, held together with 15 screws. If it breaks again, it'll be much worse because I'll have to have a bone graft from my hip to repair it. In any case, I'm sure that this rest period is doing me good and hopefully things will be OK for September 10th: I've had too much vacation and now I can't wait to be back in action!"

take out of that sete may be staying with ducati in 2007, or is he just kissing ...?

I wasn't home this weekend and missed the live race....come back yesterday and.....watched the qually session and the race ....and all i can say "Super Race!". Capirossi had an awsome race...great start and great race pace. Loved the Rossi vs Pedrosa duel also the 2nd pack battle :KrJr, Melandri, Stoner Hayden, Nakano

Capirossi is back in bussines, fully fit and eager to fight more then ever. Too bad he had that crash at Catalunya, else he could have been chellenging Hayden...

OR... not only challenging... he could have been the one on the top right now...hmmm...

An excellent race. Nice to see Capirosi smash the hell out of everyone else. Lets hope they can keep that set up for a few more races.

I'm with Israeliracer. It was good racing from Pedrosa and just typical of the 'anti-anyone who isn't for Rossi' that his over taking was considered dangerous yet Rossi's fair. Either way it was good to see someone take the fight to Rossi.

Shame we missed out on the stoner, melandri, roberts and hayden duke out. They must have changed positions almost every lap but of course the director had to stick with Rossi going round and round with the very occasional flick back to the other pack.

I feel for Nicky. He got a duff tire and it affected his race but at least it makes the championship tighter.

Suzi Perry pissed me off after digging Hayden for still living at home above a garage and Pedrosa for being far from popular with the crowd and for never smiling. I'd love it if one of them won the championship and Suzi requested an interview that they told her to foff and that maybe they would if she'd been a little more impartial in her one sided reporting. Silly, self important cow.

I am with you, it was great to see a racer have the balls to challenge Rossi like Pedrosa did. Thats what I liked about Pedrosa, he wasn't prepared to just sit behind Rossi and smell his fumes.

Don't worry about the Rossi fans they seem to forget Jerez 05, as a few have mentioned, when Rossi's aggression was passed off as "thats racing". It was no different here, Pedrosa was just racing and it made for great viewing, so lets hope we see more of it.

Superb ride from Capirossi. Can't say much more than that, really. He had the field covered and I think we may be in for more of the same come Sepang and Motegi.

Rossi and Pedrosa had a brilliant fight. Anyone who says either rider was riding dangerously is speaking out of pure bias. It was great stuff from both riders and I enjoyed every moment of it. Rossi edged away in the closing laps but Pedrosa will find that speed in the late stages as he progresses.

What a battle for fourth. KRJR, Stoner, Melandri, Hayden, Hopkins and Nakano all within a shout. Really glad to see KRJR take that win and Stoner finish a race.

Rather disappointed with MM and Nicky. Not sure what happened with Melandri, perhaps he just doesn't get on with the track. Sounds as though he had a lackluster test on Monday and Tuesday as well. Nicky claims he wrecked his clutch on the start again and picked the wrong tire. He said there were some Michelins he really liked but they gambled on his set up and they missed. That's racing. He went 1.2 seconds faster on Monday with the Donington chassis than he did in the race on Sunday.

Off to Sepang!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BS3 @ Aug 22 2006, 11:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>HAYDEN!!!??? This type of performance has happened way too many times for me to believe that coming in 9th was just due to a tire or clutch problem.

He is no slouch, but I feel his lead in the championship is thanks to problems other riders have had and not because he deserves to be on top.

Overall, a fantastic race!

So 9 podiums out 12 races doesnt count for anything? Yes other riders may have had problems but Hayden just capatilised on their problems buy getting podiums simple as. He is the champ leader because of consistancy

hi ooost, spot on again m8, its tuff racing and thats all, either way whoever on top it was a fight to c who wanted 2nd the most me thinks, sure dani will learn, listen im proud to admit im a rossi fan but all the rossi bashing is now slowly making me laugh instead of hate, theres only a handfull on this site who talk sence .. ok maybe a few more..
oh yeah nearly forgot little jack russell terrier loris with a magic tyre was superb.. and looking good for a follow up win.. but i hope rossi is closer ready and able to do sum dirty banging dangerous riding cus thats all he can dooooooooooooooooooooo
<

Capirossi had medium-medium (B'stones), Rossi soft-hard ( michelin), Pedrosa medium-medium ( michelin)
What tyres had hayden, anyone knows?

We all know Capirossi would already be champ if it weren't for Catalunya...
<

Well done Loris, no-one deserved a win more than he!!!! =)

I'm pleased for him.

i wanna see a replay of this MGP season without that mugello crash ..... things couldve been so different

I heard ALL the Michelin riders had the same tyres on...

I thought about the Hayden thing, it reminded me of Bayliss`s struggle at the same circuit only a few weeks before: Sometimes you have a .... day, you just gotta move on I guess

I meant the tyre compounds...

Hayden had medium on front and hard on rear.

p.s Katt - the crash was at Montmelo -Catalunya not mugello

+1 Desmosedici65 - maybe not champ but involved in the big fight for crown

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BS3 @ Aug 22 2006, 05:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>The Rossi-Pedrosa fight was fantastic. Pedrosa should take this as a great learning experience: One, studying Rossi's riding style and defence for 10+ laps and: Two, battling it out with him. From Pedrosa's post-race comments, he felt Rossi was overly aggresive in closing the door on him. Perhaps, but he's going to have to get used to it. Rossi is very tough and unforgiving... And so far, hasn't been penalized for his moves. See Jerez '05 for recent proof. Pedrosa has the speed, but needs more "fight" in his game to beat Rossi.
perfect assesment! 7 hello BS3

If's aside I'm glad Rossi has had a .... season because it's made this one the most exciting it has been for years.

Sorry to the Rossi fans but I hope he has another one next year as I couldn't bear to go back to the boring, processional tedium of the last few years.
