Rossi seems to go the wrong way this time around though. Still slower than his best FP1 time.
Stoner is quick but doesn't look well. Short stints and and hiding his face in the pit.

come on spec tire!

no doubt. if rossi hadn't switched, there would be no one to challenge right now. it's nice to see some battles going on, and a fight for the championship.

wtf is wrong with michelin? they seem to be getting worse. can't depend on the french for ....!

Sandbagging, fudging and waiting for the race.

Everybody that is

strategy is outranking speed...

(Casey just cut a 1:57.231 - woah)

This is soooo depressing you lot are watching this and I'm stuck at work again!
<

I'm not sure whether it's on later or not, I might have to wait until tomorrow to catch anything!
<

I just can't stand it!!!

At least if you guys keep going with the running commentary I'll have some idea what's going on.

What's with Loris in third (1:58 neat) and Chris in 6th 1:58.462.

I think there was a poll for most improved bike, the suzy's looking good for it right now (hey I know it ain't race distance).

There is speculation that casey and vale are both playing games and making short runs on soft tyres so as not to concede any advantage to the other. Presumably both are confident about their race set-ups; I gather bridgestone have tested at brno.

I actually think it is a pretty big compliment to casey if vale is going to these lengths
<
; I guess he may feel he has him down and wants to keep him there. QP and the race should be very interesting tactically.

I was under the impression nobody has tested at Brno since it was resurfaced

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ravensby @ Aug 15 2008, 06:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I read that they tested two days back in June. I think everyone was talking about the indy test that this on flew under the radar. http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Brno+re...for+Bridgestone
This is what I was referring to although I had not read the original article, and thanks for your post and the link. Whilst the motogp riders have not tested, it appears that test riders have tested both the bridgestones and the michelins on the resurfaced track.

+1. Although I am NOT a fan of Suzuki I am a Capirex fan. I do like to see some others up there though so we could have a decent race. Hmmm.

I'm going to call it right now----this race will be so boring we will be begging for it to end.

The Capirossi vs. Nakano subplot is intriguing though. I hope those two get into an epic 990-esque dual.

WHAT!
And you have been in the pit box of a world class team how many times?
On a "new" track and on new tires (rossi) you really think these guys lay down waiting for the race?
Nothing less than hilarious.

Why are you allready now discarding the race?

I'm not so sure any of them will be fighter for the podium.

I thought for sure that Honda would have put someone in for Hayden now Dani is hurting and if he falls there will be no Repsol on the grid
<
.... Honda anyway. Once again, as much as I hate Pedrosa I respect that he is out there trying.

FP2
-Marco back to where he should be.
-Michelins rider
<

-Nakano only .04 faster than Angelis on the factory ride
-Good to see Hopkins doing decent, amazing how they can mentally come back after a bad crash
-Toseland, it must be the tires
-Elias and Guintoli in the top ten.
-Not shaping up to be a good race...
