With 3 races still to run , Marc Marquez is deservedly world champion. He might not have the best bike but he is the best rider by far.
He will be hard to beat again next year as he is getting better each season.
Lorenzo has had a difficult time and Rossi will probably blame something else for his demise this year .
Either way, Marquez deserves this World Championship and at 23 you know there is more to come.
Looking forward to next year already!

I wouldn't go as far as to say brilliant, but he deserved it as the other front runners made a complete hash of it.

I'd say brilliant too. He started with a .... bike, and look what he made out of it. Plus he rode brilliantly in many races, especially Schasenring. And he didn't let any of that push him down. He always seems happy, no matter what. And that construes brilliant mind control too.

No it was brilliant he started with a bike that wasn't championship capable. He rode smart when he needed to, rode aggressively when the bike let him to and more importantly made sure to finish every race. Picking up 3 points even when it seemed like the bike was so far behind the Yamahas the 3 points meant nothing.

Motegi showed me that Honda is very close to the Yamaha now. Like Austria was tailor made to Ducati's strengths, Motegi fit the Yamaha's strengths but Marquez flat out dominated the weekend, with an emphasis on Marquez. If you pay close attention, the Honda has completely transformed from the classic point and shoot bike to a bike that has Yamaha like corner speed if not better. If Marc chooses to do so, he will turn PI into a snorfest with its long sweeping corners playing into Honda's new found strength Sepang will be closer but i think he will be out for some karma in that race as well. Valencia will be a toss up between him and Lorenzo. Rossi will hold on to second in the championship by beating Lorenzo at PI and Sepang as he is simply faster than Lorenzo with this tire.

I dont think the Honda has been transformed into a high corner speed machine this season. I just think its a combination of the tyres and electronics that have brought the two major factories teams closer together. They haven't really changed to much on the bike from last year that I'm aware of but I think they have made headway in sorting out the electronics and off drive issues of the Honda towards the end of the season.

I'd be very surprised if Marc doesn't dominate PI though. He has already got the title so he has nothing to lose and no need to hold anything back to safely keep points. I have a feeling he is going to let loose everything he has been holding back this season .. its probably like therapy for him.
