The most interesting part of the weekend so far was seeing Fat Mladin.

Pridmore asked him what he thought about Josh Hayes checking out. Mladin answers " he couldnt possibly be doing that thru talent or hard work, he'd have to be cheating, winning by that much"

Well it was a bad weekend for Benny. No other way of putting it. The only positive is he didnt get hurt and can continue trying to figure stuff out.

I just saw the DSB & Sbk races. They were fairly entertaining. The one stand out for me was EBR on podium with each of their riders.

Jum's...I would have liked to see Benny higher up in the order, but as you mentioned, he came away with no injuries.....he does however come away with more race experience in a sea full of sharks...Benny is swimming his way to the top...bet on it!

Remembered to set my DVR this weekend. Decent racing. Suprised to see EBR score podiums, but happy about it b/c AMA needs participation. Can't believe Hayes made a mistake from the front. Doesn't seem like him at all. In DSB, it looks like stability is the key to winning. If the rider can dial out the awful supension wobble and chatter, they can breeze to victory. Cardenas knows how to get it done. DiSalvo did a good job in race 2.

I thought Mladin's comments were interesting. He was one of the biggest critics of using Supersport style rules, but he was seemingly in favor of electronics controls. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised b/c he probably doesn't remember the 2004-2005 seasons fondly, when he and Yosh were accused of cheating every weekend. He did make a good point about DMG's ridiculous obsession with maintaining two premier classes. DSB has way too much talent, and splitting the top AMA talent creates the same diluted talent base the AMA had when it was 4 classes of cherry-picking.

I'm not really sure how the AMA is holding on, but I'm glad it is.

Yeah... Matt had put on a few pounds but conversely - he seemed mellower, not his usual pissy self. Hopefully he's a happy camper now that he's retired.

Mladin - once a .... always a .....

Dunno... what I understood was that he was a little bitter about speculations in the past about why he won so much

tho - I didn't take what he said as a criticism of Hayes. That he should be so self-referential is perhaps ........ Personally - I do believe that Yosh was cheating. The indications were so numerous.

Been following Buell's work since the early '80s and been wondering if he would ever make a bike that wasn't a joke.

I dunno either... Just that back in the day he always kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Enjoyed Duhammel, Szoke, Spies, Hayes but Matt always seemed to be an arse!
