And your presence here on this forum, the place where there is a small cancerous obsession with spewing copious amounts of absurd, mostly insane rantings about Rossi, if this indeed is in fact David Emmett, is a little disturbing. I'm sure if Lin knew you hung around here you wouldn't get within 50 metres of the Yamaha Garage, and maybe a few more garages at that.

I'm calling .........
If he wasn't "forced" then why would he be required to "tough it out"?

He chose to go apparently because of the atmosphere in the garage. From what I gather, he is a very sensitive man and takes things to heart despite seeming to be brash and boastful. Btw that is not a criticism of him, just what I have read and what I've seen myself. I do think he could have carried on with his team and inner circle of friends. That's what I mean by toughing it out.

Agree Dani but I would also call this very reason as being 'forced' in that he felt no other option but to leave as the current climate in that shed is quite unpleasant and I suspect that he feels (IMO, rightly so) that he has received little support from some alleged unbiased staff within the garage as well as the factory.

Forced is not always being sacked or dismissed, but can be 'managed out' by making the environment not conducive to the individual

Better for Lorenzo to switch teams for the challenge than because he didn't like the atmosphere at Yamaha. Being in a situation where you feel you're not getting proper support can happen with any team. Ask Stoner how he felt Ducati was treating him prior to his switch to Honda. The prospect of winning championships with at least two manufacturers during his GP career (along with earning more money in the process) should be enough motivation for Lorenzo.

All true, but is there really a bigger motivation that giving a big single fingered FU to the team that you feel did not support you when you had just won a world title by going out and winning races, and perhaps titles with a competing manufacturer?

No doubt that there will be times in 2017/2018 where a Yamaha and Ducati will be in close quarters and I suspect that every time the Ducati finishes in front, there will be celebrations somewhere

True, I'm sure Lorenzo will feel on top of the world if he wins on the Ducati.

Constructive dismissal possibly?

Sure: if your prejudices require it to be spun that way so you can cling to your delusion.

But if you want to tell it like it is, he was forced out. He won the championship for them and they hated him for it. Not toxic???
Give us a ....... break: wake up and smell the yellow smoke mate.

And anyway, he can be well satisfied with his work after storming the yamaka citadel and pissing on their king. Now he goes to Ducati and if he fails, no problem, but if he doesn't...

I think the one finger salute is well and truly delivered. No?

Daniboy, can you imagine the scenario where if Rossi "wins" a title, this or the following year Yamaha cancels the celebrations because Lorenzo won't attend.

I honestly can't believe they did this ..... It seems so surreal even now when I think of it. But more to the point, could you honestly imagine Rossi's reaction if that were to happen to him? Can you imagine Rossi's fans reaction? I said before, this has been so under reported and little to zero editorials exist on the matter.

Content Warning: Look ....... (.)(.)

I told it like I see it, that's all, no need for the yellow smoke reference or resorting to trying to make me look deluded. That seems to be the way of quite a few people on this board, if they can't win an argument the done thing is to say the other person is dumb, call their cognitive skills into question, accuse them of blindness, dismiss their opinions as 'funny' etc . Pretty poor way to conduct a discussion if you ask me.

It was a cowardly move on Yamaha's part, they should have gone ahead and done it regardless, to blame the circumstances is just a cop out. And yes Rossi wouldn't have liked it either, nor would anyone. Just a badly managed situation all round.

I think you will find Lorenzos team deserved a party, to state "nor would anyone" is detriment to his achievements.

It's like an uncle nob head ruining a wedding day.

Does "nor would anyone" mean anyone who has ever been the team-mate of a champion? There have been rather a lot of such team-mates without celebration of a championship being cancelled for fear they might be disgruntled.

What part of my post said otherwise?
