No way Crutchlow goes to Yamaha. That bridge is burnt to a crisp. Pol slagging Yamaha at every opportunity rules him out. Pol would love to take the Repsol seat, but it would leave him bitterly disappointed. Someone who paid 3.5 million for one of those bikes described it as '....'. His words, not mine.

Van Den Stratten?

I never get tired of watching Petrucci riding straight off the circuit.

Even better is how Nick Harris goes, "Another epic MotoGP battle in front of 110,000 people" before Petrucci opens a gateway like the Event Horizon and flees to another dimension.

...., even the movie poster is apropos.

Petrucci gives Rossi infinite space, to avoid the infinite terror of being castigated by the Yellow Horde for the rest of his life.

Krop - genuine question here.

Van Der Mark?

Have heard suggestions that some within the MotoGP paddock have been watching his performances on the CBRDog with interest - any future rumblings?

A lot of people watching Van der Mark closely. He is young and talented. But he will have to come in the same was as a Moto2 rider - through a satellite team.

If Van der Mark was doing what Rea is doing, he might have a shot at a factory seat. But he isn't. He is roughly matching what Hayden is doing. He really needs to be crushing Hayden.

The prejudice against Wsbk riders is unbelievable. VDM is doing wonders with that relic. 'Scotty, we need more power! It can't go much faster than that captain.'

FFS.

The talent level of WSBK is underwhelming. Nicky could have given the series some starpower but being stuck on that pos Honda he is nothing but an afterthought.

You mean like Rossi crushed Hayden on the Ducati?

If Dani has even an inkling of desire to truly have a crack at the world title, and he has a Yamaha contract sitting in his managers office he should take it. This is his last opportunity. Will he take it, or just let it slip?

Nothing new then. Dani is not giving much away at all. I reckon Mugello is where an announcement will be most likely.

Pedro is too locked in to Honda. I don't think for a second he has the capacity to imagine himself in any other scenario. He and the Honda are like an old married couple that haven't had ... in 8 years.

Well, to stretch the metaphor they haven't really consummated the relationship.

I don't think it's that underwhelming. You're underestimating Jonathan Rea imo.

The racing has been interesting this year.

You could swap half of the WSBK grid with half the MotoGP grid and you wouldn't see any difference in the GP product.

Seeing two Brits battling up top is a nice change of pace from being force-fed Spaniards for years because Carmelo thinks those are the only people worthy of GP rides.

I agree, I'd be very surprised if pedro went and even if he did I can't see him winning the title as much as I'd like to see him do so.

He's a nearly man in the top category, he was build for a 250 two stroke, he was brilliant on that

To take the metaphor even further, it's like Honda were a geeky Japanese boyfriend who brings a lot of sophisticated ... toys to the boudoir and spends years trying to impress himself with his ingenuity - and Dani's been waiting for the ....... foreplay to be over with. Forget the high-powered vibrator, he just wants the old fashioned big bang.
