I know :)

Yet, it might already have happend
Erm, no. Because it is impossible for it to have happened. It's the moment when the championship is finally decided that I am talking about. It's going to be rare when there isn't a championship where there isn't a punt that is a contributory factor.

Andrea Iannone is offcially back. I never thought we'd see him in MotoGP again. Pirro is rumored to run Valencia.

I don't know. I feel that Martin would be a deserving champion, but seeing the guy with so many 2nd places come first and the guy with the most 1st places come second feels somehow wrong.

I agree that that's the game with the sprints and probably without them the result of the main races would be different, but still..

Maniac may be back, but don't expect him to pull a Bayliss. Those times are over. Look how hapless was Bautista on modern aero-electronics equipped bike. Look how Toprak couldn't get anywhere with his Yamaha test. I takes time to get used to these bikes, much more than a wildcard race or two.

Yeh my view too, there has been too long since he raced in MotoGP to expect him to come up to speed in a couple of practice sessions

If it's wrong, then it's Bagnaia's fault. Personally I like there being different strategies to win the championship. The points schemes are what they are, and riders will adjust their strategies accordingly. If one rider focusses too much on wins, or even 'win it or bin it' mode when there's a championship at stake (not saying Bagnaia is doing this, but in the general case), then that's a sub-optimal strategy.

If the point schemes are adjusted then perhaps we'll get more exciting racing. Or perhaps we'll get too many overly optimistic/desperate moves that end up in the gravel.

And, in Thailand, I was hoping that Ogura would settle for a safe second and seal the championship. Which he did. (Not sure if the option to challenge for 1st was there in any case.)

The Gresini social media team need a serious raise.
