MotoGP will finally enforce the tire pressure regulations starting at Silverstone. Perhaps this will provide a bit of intrigue?
Aleix says it will make racing even more processional and boring. We'll see. He's just got the top spot in FP2. Bezz with a really bad highside, hope he'll be ok for tomorrow.

Well, the new tire pressure regulations or the cool temperature or both seem to be helping Aprilia.

Man, gutted for Bezz, I guess that was just the inexperience of youth. He already had a formidable time, and he was out of the pits a bit late on a cold tire. He did a good job of completing the flip and bouncing well. I guess he'll be okay, but that was Marquez-esque albeit at much lower speed.

Aleix's lap was impressive, but he was so loose, I'm not sure he's going to have that sort of pace over race distance. If he has it in the back pocket, and he doesn't crash, he could be in contention on Sunday. He might be able to ride fast and loose for sprint distance.

The weather forecast for Silverstone today is awful: heavy rain and thunder.

Doesn't bode well for qualifying and the sprint.

Im surprised they actually qualified in these conditions.
Fernandez in 5th, it would be extremely unfair if he lost his ride.

I think the conditions were worse than on the Sunday when they didn't race at all at Silverstone a few years ago.

The track was awash in places and the visibility looked dreadful, it must have been even worse through a wet visor. Hard to know how windy it is, but I'm approx 120 miles south of there, and well out of the eye of the storm, but it's blowing a gale here as well as pissing it down.

I'm not sure I want to watch a sprint in these conditions and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they cancelled it.
