Pretty devastating qualifying. That kind of gap on that kind of track is massive.
The consistency in lap time through FP1 to FP4 is pretty daunting for the rest of the field as well.

Taking bets on how many places Vinales will lose when he botches the start.

Rossi fans having a meltdown on the MotoGP subreddit right now. It's funny that they've come to hate the sport, only enjoying the off-season and summer breaks, the ideal time to post instagram pictures of Rossi with his girlfriend. For their sanity I hope Vale retires soon so they can be free and stop following MotoGP altogether.

Meltdown? What's the trouble now. Rossi has all-important mission to support the factory Yamaha effort from the back. As the time goes by I expect him get even deeper into this important role.

Didn't expect that out of Dovi, but I'm glad he has some fight in him to make a move like that.

Great race, Dovi's move at the end was special.
Marquez chose the wrong tyre which was probably great for us the viewers.
Fabio was just incredible. I think he is a chance to finish as the top Yamaha
Petrucci was embarrassing, WTF is he doing in 9th at Austria.

There's nothing wrong with that Yamaha. It's been on the podium nearly every race this year and performed at what most would have expected would be their worst track.

1. Racecraft, balls and heart! Ducati don't need Lorenzo. Just better turning.
2. Really wanted it. Good at hiding his disappointment I think.
3. Looking like he's no flash in the pan. Something special there.

Obviously would have loved to win but did mention choosing the wrong tyre so may have been genuinely happy to challenge so hard for the win despite the wrong tyre choice.

Was there a "right tire" today Marc could have used to win? I'm not sure, Marc on a different tire would have had a different Dovi to fight. We can only speculate what the outcome could have been.

Admittedly I've been too harsh with Dovi at times this season, thinking that he's too safe, but today he gave his everything and gifted us another memorable battle with MM. Wonder why Petrux was so far behind...

Sure, but neither he nor we will ever know whether he could have preserved a soft tyre as well as Dovi did if that is the tyre he referred to.

You just have to give it to Dovi this race. On the commentary they were saying previous weaknesses of the Honda on this circuit have been improved, and it was hardly MM against a pack of Ducatis on what has been a Ducati circuit.
