Do you mean "do a Sam Lowes" job. I don't think he will for the simple reason he will not want to upset the potential benefits of getting a podium and boosting French participation.

I think you've coined a new expression: Lowe-job

Marquez finished fp2 second on a hard tyre while everyone else in the top 10 ran softs for a time attack.

I think MM worries more about working out race pace during the FP sessions than he does about going into time attack mode the way everyone else does at the end of these sessions. Almost like he is sandbagging for qualifying. Either way his pace on the medium-hard looks very good. He'll have his work cut out for him either way with Dovi looking stronger again.

He's definitely well past the stage of needing to top every session or test. He and the team seem to make a plan of what they need to work on and he gets out there and puts in laps.

Anyone know what was going on with Crutchlows hand gestures?

Depending on the track, Michelin's constructions can be very close to each other.
I remember this being mentioned a few times before by the commentators and the differences between soft and hard are more down to the "Feel" than grip and endurance for certain rounds.

No, .... that, I AM offended. Ballet is a legitimate dance form EVEN FOR MEN!! No one understands this and it pisses me off!!!

Oh good! and I thought I was the only one who had a soft spot for the dance of the sugar plum fairies! :giggle:

I know this is practice, but did I just see someone practicing to cut the track again to avoid Zarco?

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Rossi p3 on Friday is usually a good sign he's going to have a good weekend.
Indeed. He was so stoked for being on the FP2 podium, you could hear him shouting out 4 letter word expletives: MARC! DOVI!

Funny thing is Marc set his fastest FP2 lap on a 9 lap old hard rear tire. He never even bothered with the time attack like the rest of them did on a soft rear and finished 2nd.

Motomatters suggested Rossi was on the hard, but I'm not sure if this is right.

See, you can be funny, too.

Pretty sure on the last couple of laps Rossi was on the soft, I can't be assed to check the FP2 feed but I could have sworn it showed him being on medium front soft rear.

He did run a hard rear earlier in the session.

Cool, thanks.

yes Rossi was on new soft for his best time as was Dovi. Marcs time was on a 11 lap hard front and 18 lap med rear. That has to be depressing to the other riders.
