One more thing: Misano and Assen are Yamaha and Rossi's two strongest tracks. Even without the seamless gearbox, he has always been strong at these tracks since his return to Yamaha. His lack of competitiveness here means that the situation at Yamaha is quite grave.

That was obvious to some of us some time ago.

To catch you up ...... rossi ...... the reason for Yamahas problems ..... is going to be taking a managerial role. This will be one of the hardest things, as we will have to watch a once great brand be imploded by the worlds most overrated egotistical ......s.

Fenati's behaviour today was the most egregious example of endangering another rider I have seen in 25 years of watching world level racing. A two race ban is frankly, a joke.

There seems to be an argument that Manzi's race craft leading up to today's incident (not limited to today's events) was a compelling factor in his total loss of control (cue Jorge Lorenzo) but the fact of the matter is this was an example of a rider totally out of control of his emotions with potentially disastrous consequences, with a temperament ill suited to such a dangerous sport, and willing to do anything in order to exact his completely unjustified revenge.

The dark irony of the matter is that a young rider in the same class tragically lost his life at this very track only a few short years ago. And at a track renamed in the memory of another rising star who lost his life riding and risking his life for our entertainment. What a truly classless and careless way to sully the memories of individuals who risked life and limb for our enjoyment and both of whom sadly paid the greatest of prices to do so.

It's my hope he isn't allowed to darken these grids again.

Fenati is a ....... lunatic, there's something not right between his ears and lacks the emotional maturity to race motorbikes, kicking out at other riders, hitting the kill switch on another bike, countless arguments, fired from a team because of his attitude and now this. He should be banned for the rest of the season and sent to a ....... psychiatrist before ever being allowed to race again.

Good win for Dovi and fair play to Cal, the only guys ahead of him were the ones you expect to be ahead of him, after Marquez he's been the only other Honda rider worth a .... this season.

I didn't see this incident, but it would seem similar to something I did see live from Sofoglu in a supersport race a few years back.

I believe it was this incident?

Clearly also intentionally endangering another rider and worthy of a ban also. However Sofuoglu has had a total moment of red mist which by no way excuses him, but I'd say he was barely in control of himself, let alone his machine. But as I said a ban was without doubt in order.

However I would say that Fenati's was significantly worse, mainly because he has directly and deliberately interfered with the operation of Manzi's machine. His demeanour was also one that suggests premeditation as he pulled alongside and calmly reached for the brake lever totally in the knowledge of the potential consequences of doing so.

There is no place for either example on live racetracks at speed.

Good. Sacked by this year's employers and contract getting pulled by next year's. Couldn't happen to a more worthy person.
I'm just surprised it came down to the 2 teams making this decision and not the powers that be.

He hasn't yet been sacked for 2018 and the 2019 talk has not yet been confirmed.

It also shows that the guy did not learn from his previous dismissal from VR46 racing (full credit that team for taking the action, now for the current team to follow suit)

I think the major reason that they only banned him for 2 races is in a small way related to Sepang 2015. If they'd gone the whole hog then maybe the minimum that Vale should have got was season disqualification, ie all his points taken away, as happen a few years ago in F1 (Prost/Senna).
For all we know they might have had a quiet word with both his present team and his future one to deal their dirt.

BBC reported earlier that his team have sacked him

Article that Theo linked isn't the only one I have read saying he has been canned. Also seen a couple of times on of the high heed yins at MV quoted as saying he won't be there in 2019 as he doesn't represent the companies true values. Unsurprisingly.
You are right that he hasn't learned. Seems he never will.

Perhaps he's taking a Romano Holiday.
