2012 Entry List

Looking at the field for 2012, around half of them, based on racing accomplishments, deserve to be called Moto GP riders.

Curious, did Abraham deserve to be promoted MotoGP? Based on his performance, does he deserve to stay?

For the record, here are my answers. No, yes. I learned something from this guy. Which makes me rethink who "deserves" to be there. For example, i think Hayes "deserves" to be there, he'll never get the chance to be a regular. Sometimes they step u.

So, ur unhappy about CRTs, ok, so we can break it down to parity. So then, which satelite team was was on par with the factories? None. Again, the 4-6 bike argument returns going by ur logic. Do u see that?

The CRTs will improve, i'd say, about as good as the previous satellites. Whats the difference from what u wer happy to watch in previous years? Nothing really.

Biaggi was a fantastic 250 rider, but he couldn't cut it at the highest level.

That's the point of Motogp. Biaggi was a great 250 rider, but when he stepped up to the top class we all discovered he was just a a hairs width off being the worlds best.

Unless the bikes are complicated and the tires difficult etc then we don't find out who has that something extra. On dumbed down bikes the winner will become a lottery, Biaggi would appear to be what he is now on sbk. Spies is another example, not until he reached Motogp did a ??? appear and even he admits it's harder than he thought.

Great logic u got there, not. So anybody who didnt win the premier title wasnt cut out for the class? (And dont reply, when did u say that, it the logic of ur post). The only thing dumbed down around here is the ligic of that opinion buddy.
<
Dude, we get u dont like the CRTs, but ur reasons for not liking them have yet to surface a reasonable explanation.

So Biaggi was a hair off the mark because supergood riders were in the field? There is a long list of riders that belonged in MotoGP that didnt win the title genius. Randy Mamola was runner up 4 times, so did he belong in the class because he never wont title? Do u know how many times Schwantz was runner up? Even in 93, he still may hav come runner up. Biaggi certainly belonged in MotoGP.

Biaggi was and still is one of my favorite riders. He belonged in motogp. Only when they do a role call of champions of motogp, he doesn't belong.

Just think if it was Doohan vs Biaggi on 250cc maybe Biaggi would win. But because the popular opinion is a 250 gp bike was easier to setup and ride than at a 500 was. Another popular opinion is a sbk is easier to ride than a motogp bike, which had been confirmed by spies. But now an aprilia sbk had been approved for use in motogp, with raised weight limits and tires that make them easier to ride? Why.

What we used to agree on was that not enough bikes and tires with winning potential are provided. A satelight bike should be good enough to win. If Honda, yamaha and Ducati supplied the same spec bike to all their riders, even if it was only 12 riders on the grid and bridgestone gave each rider exactly what they want, not a compromise, then that would do me just fine. Leave CRT with sbk.

black flag

<

.... yeah! I forgot about Max. and his black flags
<
<
<

He wasn't a great rider but he so blatantly cheated like a .....
<
<
<

He was such good value for that, good ole Max.

He was going to beat Mick Doohan, but the frustration caused him to ....... bend the rules a tad
<
<
<

Realistically the "Spagetti GP" era may have started with Max. not just Rossi. ... ??

Started with cadalora for me. They were good on their day. Now Rossi is turning into Biaggi. It's the bike, it's the tires, the shoulder, it's because I'm bigger than stoner ha ha

Max beat Mick.. In fact Micks 5th was won by a black flag

Biaggi NEVER EVER beat Doohan or in fact placed in front of him in a race that both riders completed...Doohan retired on both occaisions in season 1998 when Biaggi won a race.

Doohan was first or second in every race he finished that year.....

Mick Doohan Honda Ret 1 2 1 2 Ret 1 2 1 Ret 1 1 1 1 260

Max Biaggi Honda 1 3 3 2 5 6 2 6 2 1 3 Ret 8 5 208

I am sure Biaggi would have won Suzuka anyway and probably Catalunya also if he wasnt black flagged...but saying he won due to the black flag incident is a gross misrepresentation of the facts.....

In fact Micks 5th was won by grinding all his competitors into the dust at Phillip Island....I know this as I was there when he did it.

You need to stop extrapolating what you think peoples opinions are and instead start listening to what they are actually saying.....I doubt anyone on this forum believes your ligic (sic) is superior....

Please do us all a favour and spare us from your consistently ill informed opinions about how other peoples thought processes are derived - this attack on Birdman being another perfect example.

It was blatantly OBVIOUS that Bridman WASNT implying Biaggi, Schwantz, or Mamola were not deserving of a ride in the premiere class...how you came to the opposite conclusion is beyond me. Oh I know....he is a fan of a certain rider so cant formulate a coherent idea right?

PS Hope you have a great year in 2012 Jumks and you are blessed with good fortune, health and happiness...and a few race wins for Hayden. Maybe then you might be a little more rational in your postings.

Wow the Ant is back "#13-Speed Master” ART...The team will enter as a CRT team in the premier class, I would just like to say this that a talented up and coming young rider isn't going to want to run around at the back of the field making the factory teams think he isn't as good as they thought he was. Whichever way you look at it, these CRT bikes are going to be way off the pace and which rider is going to swap fighting for wins in Moto2 or WSS or WSB to spend the season getting lapped week in week out? Not many! These new teams need an experienced seasoned and reliable rider to get their program off the ground, plus the bikes will need constant development over the year, something a young inexperienced rider is not going to be able to do as well as someone like Ant West or Colin Edwards.

But it's so great to see Westie back, because the more Aussies the better in motogp and Westie has had a lot of bad luck and has made a few bad decisions along the way but he is second to none in the wet, he’s a machine, so it's great to see him on the up and up! Great rider and nice a bloke too!

It's my wrist, ive got a belly ache, its the big bang engine, rossi rides dangrous and its not fair. Who said all of this when he wasn't winning? Your a tosser!

Good comeback there chopper. But, he has to maintain the Aussie tradition of Gardner and Doohan before him. Gardner whinged about everything. Doohan and his tow-truck. You know I actually watched that race over and over and counted how many laps Doohan lead vs Creville and guess what, Creville lead more!

But Rossi was on record stating he lost all respect for Biaggi because of his numerous excuses. Well guess what. Lets just wait and see what he comes up with this year. But it doesn't look good so far, he's already said it yet again how fast the Honda is. You know what Biaggi's favorite excuse used to be when he rode for yamaha and Rossi for honda?

How did you know I'm a tosser? You been spying? I haven't tossed off for a while though. I'm on holidays in Queensland and guess what. There's a dangerous whether forecast for the whole week! F$&k and double f$&k. Well at least there's been a few posts to read.

when did stoner complain about the big bang and his wrists?only time i remember him complaining about rossi was after the torpedo in laguna 08.

and yeah, rossi is slowly transforming into the max of 2001-2004

Both stoner and rossi whinge, but neither as much as doohan did. The really excessive whinging imo has been the whinging about stoner's whinging, particularly on internet forums, and I am not keen to see it replaced by whinging about rossi's whinging.

Nice backpedal buddy. Btw, did u hire Mr. Squigz to speak for u? Haha

What will the CRTs hav to do to get ur support?

off topic now i think.. but regarding crt's.. anyone wanna make bets on whether crt's are gonna be faster than top moto2 guys? lol.. that'd be a shame if they're not

I didn't use to think much of the old Aussie say "whinging Poms!" until I was exposed to Rog.

The weirdest thing is it is they actually begin the "whinge mantra" at the times when Stoner is most obviously happy. ie. Stoner wins and the whinging/moaning/sooking from the boppers starts. Doesn't matter that all the photos of him are with huge smile ....... according to them he's upset
<
<
<
It really is a case simillar to when toddlers "gripe", ie. they feel something is wrong but attribute it to everything else outside of the real cause
<

Grow up chaps. Stoner has been beating Rossi since he came in, its a fact of life. Sit back and enjoy his riding, there has never been another MGP rider with as large a set of skills as Stoner, and he is still "honing" them as we speak.

Enjoy the show, or send yourself to an early grave with all the self inflicted stress and gripe.
