2011 sx season

Jknock, remind me why u dont like Dungey? I like the guy. Seems honest and genuine.

Anyway, how cool is it we get a race a week?!? Im still thrilled from the LA round.

Mental, ur rite, i think the top 4 are truly amazing. I also thought Ryan Villo would pass regardless. It was building up nice and i was yelling at the screen "DONT .... UP AND CRASH!". That was directed at both Bubba & Villo. I want to see James react to getting passed. I want to see what may turn out to be, for lack of a better example, a Laguna 08 type moment, though i think we rather see a Estoril 06/Catalunya 09, both taking it to the very end.

Oh, i cant wait for Reed to hav a Sarah Palin and quit. Two two is too too.

It's very simple. (as is my brain) I need villians in my life. He's the Bon Jovi of racing. Good looking, perfect husband, rock star, every chick wants to bang him. Me I only focus on hoping he will someday have a Rev Ted Haggart the Crystal Methodist moment and be caught with a .... in the ....

Dungeys is a shining Golden Statue that must be toppled by the boy in red. (Or maybe the boy in black)

Can you please let me be petty and childish and leave me alone.

Oh and BTW .... the Bostroms as well

Good racing last night, Bubba wasn't going to be denied. I hate that Villo went down twice, I think he could have been in that battle for 2nd and 3rd...Reed....damn! Dungey looked great last night...this championship looks to be off the chain so far, can't wait for the next round.

Oh, Teddy wasn't the only one, but it was perhaps the most spectacular of falls from grace. I particularly like Rep Graigs bathroom incident.

I hear you about Dungey, but at the moment, all of my energy is still tied up in hating Reed.

Ok, Oakland, who knew there were so many dirt bike fans there? I thought it was as good idea as having a SX in South Central.

Great racing...for the podium. When Villow was starting to feel the pressure I was all "don't .... up, don't .... up", now who do you think I was directing that screen yelling to? Yup, Bubba. Then to my surprise, VPoto goes down. ....! I just want a head to head dual with no bobbles or lappers or crashers, is that too much to ask?

Ok, so Congrats to James, yes, he made a statement.

Villow, well he struggled in his heat race, so I thought, maybe the two crashes Bubba had in the practices would even things out. Nop. The best race of course was for the podium. Dungey was the best, but a combination of getting ...... by a lapper and falling asleep on that last corner gifted Reed the 2nd spot. (If Reed was anybody else, I'd say kudos for not giving up, but he's Reed, and I don't give a .... about him). Villow struggling to pass first Dungey then Reed tells me he had a sever off night. But I suspect he'll bounce back.

What happen to Christnard? Looked bad. And Brayton, WTF, he won his heat (the one Villow and Dungey were in) and ended up like 18/19th (I think). Did he have some mechanical or crash? I know Stroupe stalled out.

How cool is it that we don't have to wait a month for the next race? Supercross got this .... on rails, Dorna, AMA, get your heads out of ....

Have you ever sat in a public bathroom stall and done the wide stance. It almost impossible for your foot to touch your neighbors UNLESS OF COURSE YOUR TRYING TO.

Was that the greatest line "I am not gay nor have I ever been gay".

Noone seemed comfortable in this weeks race. From the git there were gaps between the top 4 and noone seemed to want to close them. It looked to me like they were tentative because of track conditions. Villo is leading the league in errors so far. It was 2 slick tracks that caught him out so I'm hoping its not a pattern of errors.

The best part of the night was watching Reed steal 2nd off a completely bewildered Dungey. That was hilarious watching him try to put a positive spin on once again coming up short. Come on golden boy,get pissed and show some emotion.

The race was a bit dissapointing but like Jumkie said there's another race next week so the waiting game doesn't bother me. SX really knows how to please its fans

mmmm.... i thought speed was supposed to run their quota races live....

Wow. It looks like Stewart was just knocking the rust off the first couple of races. That was an ... whooping he put on everyone. It this continues than game over.

The championships starting to shift back to the old guys. Canard can't seem to get a good start, Dungey is slowly losing ground and Reed is getting stronger each week.

Hopefully we'll get some better racing because this weeks was nothing but a parade

Ain't that the truth. Man it must be awesome atmosphere live. I bet most of the crowd has big binoculars for perving on 'monster' girls.

No need to, they are very good about showing close ups on the stadium big screen.

Seemed a "boring" racing in comparison to last one. Stewart really asserted himself. That start he got was out of this world, I swear it reminded me of Pedro, first into turn one with a gap. Villow was smart not to get too flustered with what JKD correctly characterized as a good old fashion "... whooping". Though I'm not convinced this is a momentum changed. I think Villow didn't have it this weekend, and Dungey was caught on a very rare mechanical. Reed is still 5th best in my book, Christnard or Dungey will beat him next week...that's a lock.

WTF is going on with the live races we were suppose to have this year. I swear I had read that supercross had made a contract where they stipulated it would be shown live (or did I just dream this up...) I don't think they can burry a program any more than to have it start exactly one hour before the superbowl. Sucks.

(.... reeeed)

Finaly got a chance to watch the 450 race and Stewart looked fluid and comfortable, could spell bad news for everyone wanting the championship this year, but I'm not going to read too much into it just yet because this track had Bubba's name all over it. He kept a comfortable gap over Villopoto who in turn kept a steady pace in 2nd which shows smart racing on both their parts. I don't think RV is ready to write off his chances and Stewart knows he doesn't have 2011 in the bag. I still believe Villopoto can ride at Bubba's pace and those two will have some close battles to come.

Going to try and watch the 250 race later, but heard Hansen dominated.

Watched the 250 race and thought it was more exciting than the big boys. Give Hansen the tough guy award for winning with a broken hand. Was pulling like hell for Tomac to win, but the kid rode a good race and will have his turn on the top step soon.

I loved his post race interview with Lurch. He's really enjoying himself and seems like a good kid.

I'm beginning to wonder if that Kawi is better than all the other bikes. Other than Canards championship a few years back they have won everything and frequently put 2 guys on the podium.

L8 do you know anything about the Kawi in comparison to the others?

Mitch Payton...plain and simple. He provides the best equipment and best up and coming riders. Even when Kawasaki hasn't had the best bike, his resources with his company overcome any shortcoming the Japanese manufacturer delivers. Really it comes down to Mitch and having the pick of the litter.

...oh and I might add Kawasaki has traditionally had the best support program for up and coming riders over the years and that builds brand loyalty etc.

Have your heard of a guy named Mitch Payton? Kawasaki have Ducati's Filippo Preziosi equivalent for their program. And I don't just mean they are both in a wheel chair. Mitch Payton is a technical guru and team owner who takes competition beyond the limit. The dude was a badass motocrosser until he crashed and was paralyzed. Dude was just 18 I think when that happened (and from all accounts, he was the number one 125's dude at the time in the amateur circuit), and he wanted to stay connected to MX so he started a company called Pro Circuit. That should give you a clue of this man's drive and competitive nature. Beside the fact that he's in MX hall of fame, he really is the life blood of what makes his team successful. Can you imagine being a competitor and having a man like this in your ear? Basically these guys have no room for whining and failure, like the movie said, is not an option. Its not the green bike, that has little to nothing to do with it bro.

Plain and simple.

Just watched round 5. Bubba was too good on a nite when RV needed to bring it home to stay in the Championship.

Was a bit disappointed in the track. Was very one line and I doubt had Bubba and RV been at the same pace either could have passed cleanly.

Good on Read for bringing it home on the podium. Bet that hurt Jum!!!

I agree on the green bikes. That team just has it sorted. The bikes could be orange and it wouldn't matter they would still win.

I didn't know that about Mitch Payton. In fact I'd never heard about him. Good stuff.

Tomorrows 450 race will be on CBS at 12noon est

Just watched the 450 race and as soon as I saw the first turn and the track layout I knew we would have a crazy outcome. I was right, but I was hoping that Windham could have kept it rubber side down, but gotta give big props to Canard for holding off Dungey who wanted the win badly. Villo fought back to 3rd and was looking really fast but ran out of laps. Damn, Stewart just can't get a break when he starts off bad it just seems to get worse, but it was his fault crashing into a slower rider. I know he was trying like hell to make up time but sometimes you just have to be a little more patient. Patience...that word might come into play a lot this year for the championship.

Bring on he lites....errrr....later this afternoon...come on Speed give us the races live year round!

Houston's track condition changing during the main event was or is what the dirt is all about IMO. Glad CBS is doing a good job covering this series. Again Iam afraid this is going to be the best and closest racing we get.

Highlight for me was Short on the 350 finishing 12 sec off. Maybe DeCoster will bring alot to KTM's program!
