I can already hear rossi crying some more.

ok now I'm looking at Spies

That's impressive .

Also ....

He is the real deal... the truth ruth. The bees knees and elbowz...

One thing that also impressed me when he rode Valencia was ....... he is already losing that "elbows" style, which he needed to.

But I'm still waiting till next season before I decide whether he is "alien" class or midpacker.

No way is he a midpacker. I think it was reasonable to question whether he could ride an 800 motogp bike as well as a superbike, although he already had shown some form on a suzuki in 2008, but I see no reason why he would not be able to replicate testing/practice form in motogp when he had no problem doing so in wsbk.

As has been said it looks as though he was riding more prudently than he might otherwise have done in the valencia race, perhaps at least partly under instruction to aid CE's quest for 5th position in the championship.

TBH guys after seing spies style in wsbk how could anyone think he wouldnt do so well?

the guy sure aint scared to ride a bike on the edge thats for sure, his bike control is pretty awesome and he sure knows where to plant a bike for some fast conering...

bye pinky have fun on your next adventure posting drivel like you do here....

Obviously on my behalf: Go Rossi for 10th!

I mean wow, I think it shows you how far and above Yamaha is from Suzuki. If Spies keeps on improving, who knows what could happen. I didn't think he could adjust this fast and thought Simoncelli would've outpaced him in these tests but I was wrong. I'm sure having been a wild card at couple of races last year helped at least a little bit in getting acclimated to a MotoGP bike, but he still is essentially starting from scratch just like the other rookies.

It seems Dovi had a highside and cracked his hip,but kept riding

Dovizioso was up to pace quickly and set his
fastest time of the day on his eighth lap using
soft compound Bridgestone tyres. When he went out
on the harder compound rubber the Italian was
high-sided from the RCV injuring his left hip.
Despite a small fracture Dovi continued testing
ending the day satisfied overall with the efforts
he and the team put in today. He was particularly
pleased with the improved machine stability under
braking, one of the difficulties he had wrestled with during the 2009 campaign.

I cant wait to see them race those ........ ....... screammers with a snap crackle pop when they let off the throttle. I am really looking forward to next season!

Which kind of throws a spanner.

Then I checked the times and well - AWESOME

The guy is real, is here, is talented and is showing the capabilities of the Tech3 equipment and what they have been missing.

He will podium next season and I suspect at this early stage become a fifth by seasons end

These results are not those of an average racer no matter what spin or excuses we use or look for, they are those of a talent - simple.

Next year should be good if these early indications are to be used asa guide

Agree with the rest of your analysis completely.

Collie was "sick" today (see guys - I use parentheses for ANYONE with a unknown sickness) but I'm super-curious to see how he plays with Ben next year... I'm inclined to believe they will both lift each other to perform better and Collie should have another banner year (though finish behind Ben) and Tech Trois will have a satellite dream-team for a season anyway...

You'd think, eh? Didn't read whether this was a planned two day test for him, or not...

Hmmm, just found this quote from Ben in Tech3s press release from yesterday:

"I've enjoyed working with my new guys at Monster Yamaha Tech 3. It has been a tough year but a great year for me and I'm looking forward to the winter, training hard and being ready to go again in February."

Guess it was a planned two dayer.

The Aliens' Cup. Now, Rossi looks a bit off the pace here. But I guess we'll never really know, until the beginning of the next season, if he is losing the "sacred fire" and gently declining, or he's just playing around.

The rookies' Cup. I would have expected MS 58 to top this list, but evidently he's taking it easy. Espargaro already has a little more experience and it shows. Colin doesn't belong here, but he was sick.

If I remember correctly, I think Rossi had a pretty lengthy laundry list of components to test, new forks and an updates chassis I believe. I can't remember for sure, but I remember thinking to myself that times probably weren't all that important for him. I don't think it's the decline.
