That the implications of the times for this and future tests for race results among the top riders next season test are fairly unclear.

Stoner was not all that fast in early testing for the 2007 season, but was fastest in much of the testing prior to this season. Rossi since 2007 and particularly this season with lorenzo theoretically sharing the fruits of his development work seems disposed to using testing for the perhaps revolutionary purpose of actually testing the bike, and to me seems to show little inclination towards topping testing time sheets for its own sake or for psychological or other reasons.

GP10 - the new firing order

At certain races there is no one within half a second of the aliens. However Nicki was capable of running top 5 at the end of the year as well as on the podium and he doesn't give up (which appeared to be a Marco Melandri trait).

I bet Ducati will keep the last 990 champ on the payroll until the big bike comes back, because he could ride it, slide it and he was consistent.

It will be a real test for a lot of these 250/800 only riders to adapt back to the bigger bike. I personally think a few 800 riders (ex 250 champs even) will slide back through the field (Pedro anyone?)
