I don't really like Pasini but he is seriously fast and it certainly would impress me if he keeps pushing for it and makes up ground. Talmasci has 56 points is it? That can definitely be overturned considering that the 125cc riders are liable to a few poor and inconsistent finishes, not to mention crashes and non-scores.

Yay us english can watch a gp with some hope at last
<

Poor dovi...KALLIO KALLIO KALLIO and then barbera was following the both of em. Lol

Go Bradley, a credible 4th.

Anyone see the nasty crash at the start of the long back straight in the 250 qualifying? Chinese rider smashed into the barriers at speed resulting in a very broken bike and him ending up in the middle of the track, out cold I suspect..

I saw it, very nasty crash.

TV pictures showed him moving his arm when he was on the stretcher so hopefully thats a good sign.

U mean 5th dazza or did i miss something?

Yeah i saw the crash. As said he was moving his arm. If anyone hears of how he is really please post.

He would have been 3rd but for Kallio and barbera following him
round
<

I don't expect Kallio to feature at the front except leading for
first few corners then getting swamped. He may wake up when tank is
getting empty tho.

Just like to mention that he is ahead of all "comparative riders"
(bautista, luhti and simon). I'll mention that as it probably won't
happen again this season.
Hope i'm wrong
<

gutted for dovi, but oh well, at least he scored as much as he could. Guess bautista was just too strong today.

Roll on Le Mans!
<

WOOOOOOOO! SECOND!!!!!!!
<
Bautista - you never cease to amaze me
<

gutted that it pushed Dovi down but id sooner Bauti got the place! Yippeeeee

how did Bradley manage to get down to 8th from 2nd!!! Rabat was awesome and really deserved that podium finish.

Pasini is well and truely out of the title shot now

well he was 14th at one point. so really for most of the race it was up to 8th. including closing a 3 second gap to the leaders and had there been a few more laps he'd have probably finished even higher (he was like 11th with 2 laps left). but agreed: seemed to suffer max biaggi/mika kallio syndrome (lame on a full tank/early parts of race except getting off the line) and maybe made a mistake or got pushed wide at one point - was off camera. also demonstrates how close the real racing in these gp classes really are. His time will come. He just has a homing missile on 8th place.

Well done to kallio too.

125cc

Thrilling race, that huge straights bunched up the group, 9 riders fighting for the win!

Congrats to Pesek for 1st win and Rabat for 1st podium. Faubel carried a super-long gearing that brought his bike up to 243km/h probably a 125cc record.

The title fight seems a 3 way between Pesek, Faubel and Talmacsi.

250cc

They might as well give the champ trophy to Lorenzo already.
Bautista and Dovi to fight for the scrubs.

Dovi is getting an engine upgrade for LeMans that could make things interesting.

Barberá dissapointing me again
<

Rookies rocking! (Bautista, Kallio, Simón, Lüthi)

The 125's were grand!!! I fell asleep during the 250's

Well, how dissapointing was Pasini? I was waiting for him to finish a race to judge how strong i think he will be this season, and he can't afford rides like that if he wants to win this title, so i reckon he is out. Perfect ride from Pesek, He has been the most consitent 125cc rider for a wile now, with the speed to win races he really could be the guy for this years championship.

As for the 250 race, what more can I say except that Lorenzo really is way better than the others. I thought the difference between the Honda and Aprilia bikes in both the twisties and the straights didn't seem that big, which is good news for Dovi. I thought for a wile that DeAngelis was finally gonna kick start his season and get stuck in, but he remains the near invisible rider he has been so far in 2007. Bautista rode excellently to recover from poor qualifying, he really is getting the hang of 250cc bikes pretty quickly. Barbera has done nothing but disapoint since Qatar and i no longer think he is a serious threat.

well unfortunately i have'nt seen the 125 race yet. but the 250 was well... a masterful show of excellent racing by jorge lorenzo! hell of a recovery! the race was a tad processional but still more passing in this race than all of a fnone season! bautista is simply the class rookie in the field & is so impressive. dovi did a good job but i think he needed to keep that 2nd for his confidence. that was a hit i think.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (frosty58 @ May 7 2007, 06:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>dovi did a good job but i think he needed to keep that 2nd for his confidence. that was a hit i think.

I agree, but he is strong and he'll get over it.

The 125 race was brilliant, classic 125 stuff with a 10 rider battle for the win.

my questons was rhetorical but yes i agree. i bet he's pissed at Rabat being on the podium before him though, maybe that will spur him on a bit?...

you reckon?! i think he just made a mistake (or several) and took a while to get his ... back into gear.
