Lol Jane that's the 3rd time you say that IIRC !

But I must admit the guy is really good, though IMO he's gona get his ... kicked in China, in that long LOOOONG straight the Aprilias will murder the Hondas.
<

125cc was fun as usual (the last 2 races were quite rare), I'm glad new guys got to the front. That said Aprilia is in trouble, their 2007 bikes keep breaking down, today Pasini, Gadea and Faubel (partially) ony Talmacsi survived.

Anyway I still think the title fight wil be between Talmacsi and Faubel in 125cc and Lorenzo and his huge ego in 250cc.

Gabor rides a 2006 bike.

Yeah, he was annoyed. He's too much like Rossi, but at least Rossi enjoys a battle; Lorenzo doesn't, he likes to just dominate and hold up the MotoGP class so they can't get interviewed after the race. That's the only thing that annoys me about Lorenzo. Apart from that, he's a great racer, but I'm not too sure on 'Lorenzo's Land'

Yeah man, the 07 bikes have a letterbox style air vent, Gabor has the traditional right hand side duct.

Yes, at first i thought aspar was giving his spanish guys (on 07 bikes) a bit of help over Gabor. But i recently read an interview from Harold Bartol of KTM on motogp website somewhere and he mentioned that the new bike has some engine design concepts that are very young and potentialy troublesome (hes good isnt he) and that the 06 bike may be currently better for a championship run.

yes i read the same interview. i wonder if talmacsi had a choice?

I know i am a day late in saying this but:

That 125 race was fing awesome!
<

And the 250 race wasn't bad!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Apr 22 2007, 08:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Pasini is no ....., he is having a terrible time this season and a lot of bike trouble. He got hot headed in Jerez but these things happen to young rider when they get frustrated.

As for Lorenzo, he looked very disapointed at first, afterall hes pretty determined. But after the trophies were given out he was smiling and actually looked pretty chuffed, and of course he had the good grace to give Dovi his credit in the interview. As for his celebrations, they are not the reason we eurosport viewers miss the post race motogp interviews, that is a programming issue they have.

We do get held up by the 250's and 125's celebrations because the MotoGP class can't start until they're off the track and thing's have gone etc. If they were quicker, then Eurosport would have time to show the interviews. That's what annoys me about Eurosport though, they'll gladly run late for football and tennis, but when it comes to MotoGP, they're on a strict time and they just cut it out for the adverts when the time comes.

I think you will find that if they build time in for some delays and if they start to run behind schedule at the circuit they will cut down on grid time to get the races started on time. Even the Jerez celebrations for example madee no difference to the motogp race start time at all.

So why can't they fit it all in then? And why do they show some interviews and not the others if they cut down the grid time?

Well it depends on what other events are on after motogp and how important they are to eurosport either by popularity or by contract, also it will depend on the length of the motogp celebrations. Usualy on the early, late or night races we get interviews because there is less importance to get other shows on, but during the european season it is more rare. I usualy find that if the show is ending on the hour (usualy 2pm), we don't get interviews, but if its listed to finish at 2:15 we will get them.

Just to strenthen my point you can see on the motogp website that the motogp race in Jerez started on 51 seconds after its was scheduled to begin.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Apr 23 2007, 08:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>also it will depend on the length of the motogp celebrations.

Your original point here is that a reason for not liking Lorenzo is that he holds up the motogp race, something which is not at all true.

Also i might add that i think he does like a good battle like many riders do, his nickname and logo are even derived from a pass he put on dani pedrosa in the 125cc days.............round the outside!! I think he just enjoys the boost of really giving everyone a beating.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Louise @ Apr 22 2007, 07:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Pasini's an ...... He doesn't know when to stop when it's a fact that his bike isn't working. I know it's good to have a positive view, but in Jerez, he knocked Bradley over!!! He's been so stupid this season

And the 250 race. That scared me because I wanted Jorge to win again
<
It would have been good to see Alvaro on the podium, he's definitley got the style of 125's but more of the 250's.

Was it just me or did Jorge seem really, really annoyed that he didn't win? I don't think I saw him smile once after the race.

so he's stupid because his bike broke down 3 times????? Pasini is NOT an .....!
<
its not his fault his bike seems to be throwing a tantrum every meeting! his bike was fine in jerez because he jumped on the no. 2 machine. the reason he knocked smith off was because he was trying to pass 3/4 of the field before the first turn. his bike wasnt the problem at first.

250's was awesome pity bauti's tyre was finished so he couldnt get on the gas early (his words) coz i would have given my life to see him beat big head's ... - and in my opinion he would have done. he was stupid to overtake Dovi when he was trying to keep on Lorenzo's tail but Dovi got him in the end so i forgive him
<

of course big head was annoyed - did you see the look on his face when he was sat on his bike in park ferme classic
<
i bet he was thinking 'im still the best. doesnt matter that he won, im still the best!'

rossi doesnt get annoyed when he doesnt win - he loves to battle! he was annoyed with elias for some of his changing lines but thats different.

'lorenzo's land'
<
ive never been on his website but i might now just to see what its got next to Turkey - 'didnt quite win but im still the best' maybe??? as you can see i hold no hard feelings for him
<
<
if he wasnt so damn arrogant then he'd be ok - i like him about as much as yamaha- al likes Dani but i have a better reason than 'because he's short'
<

once again a level headed response from Tom

Pasini is having a rough time indeed through very little fault of his own. But i think a top 5 could easily have been on the cards in Jerez if he had kept his head together better. I hope he can overcome this and fight back to contention for this years title, but its gonna be hard.

Its easy to say Bautista would have beaten "big head", but he isn't good enough yet. I think he is doing a fantastic job, but he is visably pushing harder to keep up with the experienced guys, and he is beating his tires up badly. He hasn't yet mastered riding the 250 and it shows when he hasn't quite got the pace or skill to ride on ruined tires right at the end of the race. I don't think it'll be long before he wins one, but perhaps a bit longer before he really masters it.

sorry, its the name im used to calling lorenzo at home, its kind of automatic lol

when i say i think Bautista would/ could beat him i dont mean at every race, you're right he doesnt have enough experience, i meant just in that race but yes, his tyres were screwed so the outcome was how it was. i do think a win is on the cards though...

i dont know about pasini being a contender again this year, you cant afford to give away 75 points - especially in 125 but it would be nice, very nice indeed
