Yamaha just lost the championship for Rossi!

Already after some 10 sec of the first race of the season when Rossi was hit, I could feel it comming! Bad luck! Is it really just Rossi that ride so hard thet the Michelins rips up to pieces. Or is the tirecompany one link in Hondas massive attac to beat Rossi? They've put in all they can to beat Rossi, and even starting from fourth row last week didn't stop Rossi from winning. But he has to be stopped, and conviniently, when Rossi get to close in the points his tire rips up, hmmm?
However right now it ain't Honda forcing Rossi to lay down his sword....! Even on a non working package he rides like a deamon when the racre is on. But for what, he's hit, bikes break, tires rips up, however he show us his the true champion, taking victories from fourth row starts and batteling in the top even when it seems impossible!
Who else gets the title this year got it cause Rossi was sabotaged. "You know" Haden may be in front of the pointscore, but it's only technical luck , sorry, Honda has got me turning my back to their brand. To see the Rupsol team boss make me sick!
-YAMAHA come on and get it toghter in the summer break you just been given, it's your last chance to change things!
And Ducati, work your way back to the top with Capirossi, we need you guys there infront of the Hyndas.
Rossi gave Yamaha the title 2004 and 2005, and will/would 2006, if only...

Sorry, let me get this straight..... you're blaming HONDA for Rossi's YAMAHA's technical faults?!

Simple fact of the matter is, Rossi pushed his bike far too hard, he thought it was Donington where he could push hard all race and his bike wouldn't have a problem with it. Laguna Seca was 40C, you cannot push a bike that hard for that length of time in such heat, of course he was going to have problems. Ditto Vermeulen who tried to get away too much at the beginning.

I assume you've never seen the size of the radiator on a motogp bike then?
I feel sorry for Rossi, after the breakdown at Le Mans I'd have thought Yamaha would be extra careful when building the bike.
But just think how bad Yamaha will look if Rossi fails to win the title this year due to bike problems. I can assure you the Japanese culture does not take public failure lightly.

I am a huge fan of Valentino Rossi, but to start blaming other people for this isn't fair! Sure Honda does everything in it's power to win, but so does Yamaha. It's just not turning out the way they want it to.

hey, what goes around, comes around,last season honda had all sort of problems with the rc211v,chatter,tyres,this year its yamaha's turn,life goes on if rossi dos'nt win the championship,yamaha is a team,and jerry burgess the best team boss there is,but like what has been said,you will probably never find out who was at fault.

My Predictions For the End of the Season:

World Championship:
1. Nicky Hayden
2. Valentino Rossi
3. Dani Pedrosa

Constructor's Championship:
1. Repsol Honda
2. Yamaha
3. Ducati/Suzuki

Alex, I don't think there's any doubt that Repsol Honda have the team title in the bag I'll put Yamaha second too, and Shitzuki third.

World championship:
Hayden
Pedrosa
Melandri

Nooo, I'm not blaming honda for Rossis problem. I said this season Rossi's been torpeded, and generally struck by bad luck, or sabotaged by someone taking every possible way to take the championship. But that's not what I will remember from 2006. Thouse heroic rides from fourth row are more memorable than anything else.
And when you have a racebike, it must be designed to ride flat out for at least a race distance without falling apart. If you can ride like a deamon the bike must be able to take that. You can't go out there and hold back.
It's sad to find out limits for bike and tires in real races, however thats what has happend several times this year and I really hope they get back on top of the rostrum after the summer break!
At least there's been some thrilling races thanks to the circumstances...
Go Yamaha, and Rossi!

The fact of the matter is that the 2006 Michelin tires don't seem to suit the 2006 M1 and that's no one's fault. It's a tough break and I'm sure Michelin and Yamaha are working very hard to come to find solutions. This same problem happened to Honda last year and it wasn't until around mid season that Melandri and Hayden become consistent threats to win. So I would expect the problems should get better for Rossi and Yamaha soon.

As far as the bike breaking, who knows what the deal is. I have heard some reports that other riders began having mechanical difficulties by the end of the race so it's hard to say whether the M1 is a piece of junk or the heat and track conditions finally beat it into submission.

I'm not denying any of the riders' talent, but it's a shame it has taken Rossi's bike and tyre failures and crash for others to beat him. It would have been a brilliant season to see all the top riders battling the entire race at every round.

Mechanical failures happen...tires can let riders down.

It's part of the game. There is no reason to even begin to believe in conspiracy theories.

What is happening in MotoGp is terriffic for the sport. It is so exciting to watch the races this season instead of wondering ...ok Rossi won but by how much this week?

There are battles at the front week after week...

Doesn't get any better than this if you ask me.

i TOTALLY agree with what you have said here.

i enjoy nearly all the riders in the championship...they all have their own personalities and tendencies that MAKE the sport as amazing as it is.
HOWEVER...its true.....if rossi would have had his bike set up sound, and hadnt had all the ..... with his tyres (at laguna seca) then he WOULD HAVE FINISHED!

to repeat....all the top riders battling the entire race at every round.....

Its not solely an M1 problem and its not solely a Michelin problem.
Vermeulen and Nakano both had problems on Shitzuki and Kawa, and every rider on the grid had tyre trouble. The real blame lies on the construction firm who redid the surface so poorly. That and the weather killed the riders, bikes and tyres.

Unsung hero by the way, Carlos Checa, 7th place. He's been a points finisher in every single race this year. Absolutely brilliantly done.

I swear i saw a Honda mechanic sporting a false beard putting the oil in the engine of Vales bike just before the race!
I also saw a dani pedrosa lookalike putting a banana up Vales exhaust pipe !
Those dorma cameras catch everything u know!
