Media made up news or is there actually some real information behind it?
The BMW Motorsport CEO told the German Motorsport Aktuell that BMW intends to enter MotoGP but 2027 was unrealistic.
So it doesn't make a lot of sense for Toprak to wait for BMW to enter.
I think Toprak and Dorna are both interested in making it happen, but the latest headlines from Toprak suggest that he will not take a satellite ride. We'll see. Early days. He'll probably take what he can get.
19 out of the 23 spots on next year's grid are already occupied, only the not-so-desirable Moriwaki Hondas and the Motoxracing and GMT94 Yamahas are still available.
Kawasaki won't disappear from the grid entirely as the Puccetti team will keep the brand going.
Ducati will have 8 bikes on the grid with MGM Bonovo switching to Ducati and Barni expanding to field a bike for Montella.
Ryan Vickers from BSB takes Rinaldi's ride. Ray is headed back to BSB.

Marini's contract is up after 2025 if I'm not mistaken. Mir's isn't but I don't know if his mental state can stand two more seasons.

In theory, though it’s difficult to determine what’s going on. At Jerez, Bimota appeared to have a bespoke chassis, and mildly revised bodywork, but the hard points looked mostly unchanged. Bimota have not built enough bikes to homologate so who knows how they are allowed to race. Maybe they have super concessions for a bespoke chassis.
My guess is that WSBK is moving to turnkey race-bike homologation now that emissions are killing SBK. Bimota would sort of be Kawasaki’s corse division. I think Kawasaki want to divert resources into their Next-Gen Supersport.
This is still old news. Neither Toprak nor his managerboss has talked about anything bar a factory or a Pramac/Tech3 type deal
