I think it is time for Miller to move on, his MotoGP seat should go to someone else in 2025 !Ducati make approach for Jack Miller to ride factory bike in WorldSBK

An interesting quote I heard from over the weekend: "MotoGP needs Toprak more than Toprak needs MotoGP"... Quite thought provoking.
One of the commentators mentioned it, but I can't remember if it was their own opinion or someone else's
Fair enough, although I don't fully agree. In terms of pure talent/ability, I think MM is the only who might be above him, maybe Acosta in future. In terms of PR (which is what I think the quote alluded to), I don't think there is anyone more globally popular. I'm talking purely in WSBK circles, as many MotoGP fans don't follow WSBK, so won't know.I don't see that it needs him at all. Acosta, Marquez, Martin, Bagnaia, Quartararo. They are all pretty cable of riding the wheels of a racing motorcycle. Apologies for any names I missed but I don't see him consistently carving up the motoGP field.
Yes, that's my take on what the quote was referring to as well, more about PR than anything else. For me, the quote Saffa wrote earlier, it also points to the flair Toprak has, or the ability to amaze.
MotoGP has many fast riders, yet I do think that only the antics and style of Marc and Pedro, is what people would pay top dollar for to see on repeat.
There is something too metronomic, too precise about messrs Bagnaia, Martin, Bastianini, Viñales and Quartararo.
If only Binder would have a little better bike, or be able to keep it upright more frquently, I'd have him on the Wow-list as well.
If Toprak never makes the move to MotoGP fans will forever be asking themselves what could've been. At least I will be.An interesting quote I heard from over the weekend: "MotoGP needs Toprak more than Toprak needs MotoGP"... Quite thought provoking.

Yeah but his season hasn't been great. Everyone behind the Top 4 in the standings has been incredibly inconsistent. And I fully agree about Binder. He is again top non-Ducati rider in the standings...
I'm probably just a fanboy, but I think he is a true great, whether he goes to MotoGP or not. I really hope he does though. I'm still hoping BMW enters with him at the helm.If Toprak never makes the move to MotoGP fans will forever be asking themselves what could've been. At least I will be.
Apart from Toprak I don't see a MotoGP champion caliber rider in SBK right now. If Toprak never makes the jump we'll never find out how great he truly is.

For the most part Brad didn't have the speed of Acosta this season and still crashed a lot.
Toprak is a throwback to the old days of bike control, and unless GP is planning a major electronics crackdown for 2027, his talents would be wasted in MotoGP. Several preternatural talents have seen their career achievements grind to a halt in MotoGP, and I don't want Toprak to become their latest victim.
He's built for superbikes. His skillset meshes with superbikes. Hopefully, he won't make the same mistake as Spies and Vermeulen. If SBK isn't challenging enough, switch manufacturers again, imo.
I mean, he hardly ever crashes….Is he better at bike control than one Marc Marquez?
By your own words, you don't seem to have seen a lot of him?Look he's bloody good no doubt, but I aint seen from him what I have from Marc.

Anyway, if we all had the same opinions, the world would be a boring place. I agree to disagree....

I need to watch him more if so, as Marc is better than anyone else I have seen in over 40 years of watching GP bike racing.
Those black lines with the front tyre. But yes negated to an extent with ride height and aero.
In WSBK he fights with Bulega (ex Moto2 rider) Bautista (a 40 year of ex MotoGP rider) Petrucci (an almost 40 year old MotoGP race winning rider)I don't think MotoGP has anything to offer Toprak in terms of career advancement.
