Brave ride from JT on the increasingly errant R1.

I really expected Haslam to have another great weekend here. Shame Corser's tyres appeared to go off, but a great ride by Rea on Ten Kates home turf, and an impressive show by Camier.

Get Smrz and Checa in team photocopier immediately. I honestly believe that Shakey would rise to the task too.

Max sucks on the Honda. His teammate takes the win, yet he finishes as the last rider on the track. That injury really messed with his confidence. He and Hopper need to go to some therapy.

Does the official website not let me watch this for free anymore?

Brit 1-2-3!

Rea capitalises on last weeks two day test to bring his first double to Ten Kate in their back yard. But next race it's Yamaha Italia's home turf, which will be interesting.

Amazing what a bit of pressure in the front tyre can do for a result. Great comeback for Haslam.

What a brilliant spectacular race. Testament to the fact that if the rules are properly and intelligently formulated you can revive the fortunes of an entire race series. Honda from Suzuki from Yamaha from Aprilia. Fifth and sixth to BMW and Ducati respectively. That say's all you need to know - credit to the Flammini's - here's hoping they don't cave into the inevitable demands of Xerox Ducati yet again.

Good to see Corser mixing it up with the youngsters.

I disagree with this. He doesn't like it stuck up him, -well not when it comes to racing that is

Like Dani, Sofuoglu races the track, and hates a fight - unlike Norge and Lascorz.

Great sbk races (although disappointed in ss so far this year). Who could ask for better racing. Is there any 2 or 4 wheeled racing that rival sbk for excitement? BMWs gettin' better all the time and I gotta think Tardozzi's part of it (and part of xerox ducati's no-shows). I don't think a change in riders would help, Arrab.

As much as I have critisised the guy on here, I must say I'm inclined to agree. Although IMO Fabrizio is definitely not World Championship material.

and that is why WSBK is the best racing series on the planet. its a shame that most people only watch MotoGP and F1 because of prestige.

I have to say...especially Race 2..that was some of the most exciting racing. Motogp doesn't generate this amount of swapping, fighting and excitement.

I hope we can have this sort of excitement this year... I am ordering WSBK season pass

Congratulations to Britain. Double 1-2-3 podiums at Assen this weekend. If someone had told me that race 1 was going to be a British 1-2-3 without Haslam, I never would have believed it. I guess Haslam had his first race ruined by low tire pressure.

Both races were really epic, and it was nice to see Ten Kate get their act together. Actually, lots of guys got their acts together this round. Toseland was strong. Camier had it together. Corser was strong in both races. Smrz ran with the front runners (though he is always good at Assen). On the flip side, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH XEROX DUCATI. No one looks motivated or collected on that side of the garage. I know the new guy is supposed to be hands off, but surely Haga, Fabrizio, and their respective crews can function autonomously?

I'm also left wondering about BMW. How long before they get their first SBK win? Xaus is surely done with them for 2011, it will be interesting to see if they go after Neukirchner. Maybe Max can make it happen b/c I'm not sure Corser will get it done unless he clears off.

This weekend is a perfect example of why they should rev limit in MotoGP.
<
Perfect example of why the MSMA would never allow it.

Really great racing. Kind of awful to see Corser lead for so many laps and then lose it. Still,
BMW - must be really happy with the progress they've made in such a short time. Some
of Corser's passes late in the 2nd race were real cowboy stuff. How sure is anyone that
it was a tire issue? I suppose that would be the likeliest explanation. What the hell's become
of Biaggi? Now Camier is the faster of the two? Amazing!9415:Haga.jpg]

Have you seen Neukrichner's performance this year so far? Why would BMW want to touch that? He's got to have more going for him than being German. Maybe it's him not being over his injuries, but he clearly isn't the Max of old. It's definitely not an issue with the bike given what Rea is doing with it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Arrabbiata1 @ Apr 25 2010, 10:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Cue a frenetic flurry of frantic letters from Bologna prompting yet another audience with the Flammini's and a resultant mysterious overnight metamorphosis form 1198 to 1298cc

That's certainly plausible but I think utterly useless in this case. I could be way off here but I suspect instead that there is a leadership problem at Corse that no increase in CC's will cure. They just don't seem to have direction, or even urgency. Has the press even really responded to the obvious meltdown at Corse? They appear to not be setting up their machines properly (a problem not shared by the privateer Duc's) and neither of their riders seems to have a competitive bone.................it's really odd to witness.

I don't see an end in sight but who knows?

Or because we really enjoy MotoGP and F1 while recognizing that WSBK is typically more exciting. The fact that SBK produces tighter races takes nothing away from the majesty of the other series. They are all fantastic and we're lucky to have all three.

"Majesty" and "EffWun," there's a combination of words that you don't see very often!

Hurray for Toesland.  His near-crash in Superpole suggests that the bike is not one of the easiest to ride quickly.  He looked pretty worked after both races.

Cammier found speed, but was also rather inconsistent. His crash was, IMO, the result of riding a few inches over his head.  I'm hoping Leon's form spurs Bad Max to push just a little harder.

Yea, the Brit. podium was sorta cool, but I got REAL tired of Eurosport's Witham and Burnicle constantly going on about it.  This isn't the British Superbike Series, guys!
