Wow Haga, never fails to impress me. Once again proving he is one of the world's top riders. Just 2 weeks earlier he broke his collarbone and then takes a double win. Impressive. Great track, lots of interesting racing and places to pass, turn 1 and the twisty section after it was nerve wracking to watch at times, made for some exciting racing.

Race 1. Bayliss, that first corner was his nemesis, I guess he felt he could go a lot hotter into the corner then he or his bike could handle as he basically lost the first race because of it. Haga I never expected to be so strong so quickly after his injury at Miller.

Race 2. Great Haga win, but a big let down in that it was stopped with 5 laps to go, taking away a chance for us to watch Haga and Corser go at it. Who knows how it would have finished but I can guarantee it would have been a fight to the finish. Corser was looking solid, great to see him finally get aggressive and go for it.

Max N - two solid 3rd place finishes, Haga's competition for the title next year? We shall see.

Checa - wasn't finding the fast rhythm that he had at Miller, but two solid 5th place finishes.

Biaggi - something is not going well with him, after starting out the year looking super fast then having some major crashes, he just doesn't seem to be finding his mojo. Its a shame as he is just another we are missing up front in the mix.

was kinda upset with eurosport this weekend btw! they said they would broadcast the races, but instead they showed some cycling stuff and they replayed EC matches. and when finally the race started, it turned out to be the supersport race, which isn't bad ofcourse cause they have Josh Brookes. but they had a red flag ofcourse, and eurosport decided not to broadcast it at all

and by the time they did broadcasted it, I was already at work

so haven't seen a thing yet, only heard results...

I loved the track; it never thrilled me with F1, but it works well for bikes. Maybe the baby ring is just great compared to Lausitz.

That first corner did make for some exciting moments. Haga really had that part down as Bayliss couldn't really do anything with him there. Only Corser had the measure of his teammate with that great run it wide and close the door move. Corser was scaring me when he kept running up on the curb before the Coke a Cola curve.

Max put in a solid weekend. He seemed to realize about halfway through each race that he didn't have what it took to run up front, so he held on to the podium spot. He also did a good job to fend off the second pack of riders in race one and keep 3rd. This guy is smart and is holding up well under pressure. Who knows, if Bayliss and Haga crash some more, and Checa keeps getting bad starts, Neukirchner could win the title this year.

Bayliss should have ridden like Max N. did; he might have come out with 3rd in race 2. I'm starting to see why Tom bashed him so much. He just fights too hard and ends up crashing. Gotta admire him for being a fighter, though. I'm hoping this retirement talk is just some sort of bad dream, and Troy lines up on the grid next year.

Perhaps Bayliss does need to tone it down a bit, but the thing is he knows Haga will never tone it down, so he is afraid he will run away with it. That said, some of the best races are when it comes down to Bayliss and Haga dicing it up on the last 5 laps of a race, man I love it when it comes down to these two guys.

I agree with you about Max N, if he keeps getting podiums he may be able to pull it out, we're at the halfway point and the points can close quickly.

They have DVR's in the lowlands yet? Being able to setup and record the races on my tv is the only way for me to catch everything. If you don't have any issues with "downloading" the race, there are ways to get the race if you miss it.

I thought no Spoiler for Nurburgring WSBK it's almost a week and thought you guys don't like big SBK bikes
<
. I have forgotten who won except I remember Checa finished 5th for both races. After Miller SBK that damn terrible accident Bayliss and Xaus-walked to cross the track, I said this is suicidal and no fun.

We have delayed telecast here by StarSports and ESPN on last Monday, but I failed to record. They normally will show again before or somtimes after this coming Donington MotoGP live telecast.

I actually prefer WSBK to Moto GP now.

Same. Ever since the change to the 800s WSBK has become more enjoyable to watch. Normal sized people, on very fast bikes, battling fiercely.

That's what motogp used to be. Now the riders carry crops.

A lot of people do, and that's reflected by the extra entrants expected for the next few years. I find superbike racing lacks a lot of spectacle compared to GP and the coverage is inferior. The racing has often been closer than motogp, but so has 125 and 250. Plus the outcome of the worlds three best superbike championships are all fairly predictable.
