Siebenbürgen süße Heimat!
Watched superbikes today
To see if i still feel

I focus on John Rea
The only thing thats real

What have you become?
My sweetest friend
Every success we know goes away
In the end

And you had it all
The asphalt king of dirt
Please don't let me down
Redding in front just hurts

Toprak isn't gonna waste two years riding a crappy GP bike is he?

Redding suddenly fighting for podium spots until the BMW gave up.
Lowes with a fantastic run. Rea with a decent-ish race on the Yamaha for the first time.

If I could start again
On anything but the Yam
I could find my pace
I would find a way…..

Toprak is scary good right now on the BMW. Long way to go, but he’s sending a message. We’ll see if the Ducatis can avoid making mistakes trying to chase him. He’s not going to be caught when he rides like this!

Nice ride by A Lowes. Sorry for Scott. He put in work today, but his bike let him down. This is the first time someone other than Toprak has been competitive on a Bimmer.

Bautista is still riding at a high level. Not sure what’s holding him back. Is it the ballast or the fuel rules? The legendary Ducati straight line speed isn’t making an appearance this season, which makes me think the fuel rules (both flow and tank capacity) are taking a bite out of Ducati’s advantage.

I had to keep reminding myself Toprak is not Jorge Martin and he won't bin it with a huge lead. But even on the last lap he was braking hard enough into Goddards for his rear to be off the ground.

I'm trying real hard to remember who the last rider was that was THAT spectacular and a total gentleman on and off track at the same time.
Lets start a fanclub.

Tbh I hated to see Toprak lose out to Bautista every damn time last year but he is way more fun to watch when he's in a fight. This was almost cruise control mode.
Alex continues to be impressive on the Kawasaki, customer Ducatis are nowhere with the exception of Petrucci. What the hell happened to Rinaldi and Sam, they were slow as f*ck?

I do find it interesting that riders who have left MotoGP/Moto2 are not grabbing top spots in WSBK.

Gardner, Lecuona, Lowes all not outperforming their factory rivals.

Guess that just goes to show how underrated the top guys in Sbk are. It's not a good look for the series how bautista dominated on a imo overpowered duc. But guys like Rea, Toprak and now the new blood from Supersport are top tier riders. Not taking away from Gp frontrunners and sbk backmarkers, but I believe the difference in quality between the series is mostly concentrated on the lower half of the sbk grid.

Yes I was surprised and disappointed by Lowes efforts. He was leaving the door wide open and inviting a pass on several occasions. He seems to have forgotten how to stick his elbows out as they do all the time in moto 2? Maybe he’s feeling slightly detuned as he feels it’s all downhill for his career from here on in.

Me too! Mostly because it was so unfair. The worst was at Portimao in the last two races when he smashed his screen at the finish line out of pure frustration. You could just feel it through the TV screen.
I said it before, but he should really be a 3 time champ by now, going for his 4th.

Those guys were not particularly good in motogp though, not that I wouldn’t love to see Toprak there, although not with Honda or Yamaha except on something vastly improved from this year’s offerings.

It is very hard to judge what is going on WSBK given all the equalisation stuff, but sure performances relative to team-mates should be relevant.
