Couldn't decide whether to start a new thread, but since there is such a lack of interest, I will just comment on Laguna Seca in this thread.

I haven't been on the track for awhile, so my speed senses are a little off. However: Today, the first bikes I saw were Rea leading a gaggle of liter geese through T3. Just like MotoGP in person, you can always tell the WSBK birds because they are so damn fast! Very fast geese. The times are crazy. Laguna is getting really small for the big bikes and fast cars. Still a tough and interesting course, but 1:20s are pretty short laps. Rea looks smooth and fast. Chaz and Melandri know this place pretty well, so I expect some good results from them.

It will be warm this weekend. Let's see how that goes. We have U.S. riders out there, so I will bias a bit that way in the future posts.

Needless to say, it was a rather disappointing weekend for the homies. So, I haven't been up for much talk about the races. I couldn't even get Chaz a win, and I rooted pretty hard for him. For those who don't know, he raced AMA, and I know him from those days.

Anyway. The Johnny Rea show continues on with Davies as the second act. It would probably be the same results, even with matched bikes, just because of the size difference. I don't know, though. They are both very good racers.

I wish to thank U.S. Honda for continuing to support U.S. riders. While the Fireblade may not be competitive at this moment, at least the American boys have a ride on the World Stage.
