Naturally. Dorna has a hard on for peeps who have done nothing. Welll...to be fair, jrea has done lots of crashing. So I guess thats something.

Ah, now I see. Rea's motogp ride is subsidized by Ezy. A great way to keep those funny motogp chrash compilations on youtube supplied with fresh material.

Can someone please tell me what the eff has Johnathon Rea accomplished in his career?

Thought so.

Well he did win the eight hour last year for HRC which is never a bad thing to have on your CV. Would have done the same this year  were it not for your man Kiyonari crashing out of the lead shortly after taking over for the third leg of the race.

A very good point old chap

Why can't they send leon over .He's got experience in finishing 20th on a b-grade gp honda.

Starting to look like bmw won't have any top riders next year riding one of their bikes.

Rea=Hopkins. Will never ever get a truly competitive ride despite being more than good enough

Btw ,anybody heard anything on yam sbk?

In that case, motogp champion aboard a factory HRC 2016: Michael van der Mark.

Indeed.

Merely a reply to the question in respect to what Rea had accomplished in his career. Not necessarily a claim to a Moto GP seat but it stands him in very good stead with HRC given the status and importance of the race in Japan and it's significance amongst the Japanese factories. Edwards victory in 2002 with Rossi guaranteed him a raft of improvements and support for the SP2 underpinning his fight back and eventual triumph against Bayliss and the dominance of Ducati.

Rea put in a blistering second leg to wrest the lead off Haslam and Van Der Mark - Kiyo having fought from fifth to second. To be fair to Kiyonari it was a freak highside that put them out which may well have been caused by debirs on the track from a previous incident - if not a discarded tear off. I remember Bostrom crashing out of Superpole at Laguna in 2002 due to a similar misfortune when he lost the front having hit one on Rainey's. Rare, but it happens.

Nonetheless, take nothing away from Halsam and Van Der Mark - magnificent result.

I was looking at the stats and It seems that everytime a rider from Gp or wsbk runs the suzuka they win if they dont break.

Kyonari cant break top 10 in wsbk yet I believe hes won it a few times.

I dont know who this Johnny Rea is.

There racing against japs who are club racers at best. Everyone knows japs can build bikes but cant ride them.

I think it must be very hard for them to focus at that speed, since their eyes are half closed all the time
