why is caparossi off the pace this season (compared to his team-mate) ?

in the early rounds commentators was putting his bad form due to he having a new baby and him not being focused and he had other priorities.

Ducati conspiracy

this has been covered on another thread and various reasons for it have been discussed.

I still believe that he has big problems this year with the engine chararisitcs and he is more used to the old 990 ways.

Casey is young to a factory team and he is able to adapt to the bike much more easier.

Ducati tell him thats how the bike works and thats it and casey adapts himself to the bike.

Trouble is the more your team mate beats you the more you seem to beat yourself up and the slower you go.

He is trying really hard as you can tell by the offs he has had and the second bike just seems to keep breaking on him.

again this is just my opinion

also check out autosport.com
says he will announce his future on thursday.

worst kept secret - looks like suzuki

I agree with this.

No CURVE!!!...CapireX has been...shocked, flabbergasted, out ridden, outperformed in 2007...or may be CapireX just thought that the Ducati 800 was a natural to him and also thought that Casey would never be able to outperform him on anything that motoGP can exhort or produce towards Casey’s experiences in motoGP, especially after 06!!!

What with CapireX ‘s long experience in this sport and CapireX thought that he’ll just win every encounter with this young rookie, he’s not competitive!!!...

CapireX was just over confident or CapireX might just be getting “OLD”!!!

He just can't adapt to the new machine for whatever reason.

Seems like the Suzuki team will get him as their offer is higher and Kawi can't raise the money which is all spent on getting Hopper. Well I am interested to see how he fits with the Suzuki. The GS needs a new rider with a different perspective and Loris has been riding such a wide range of machines.

We'll see.

The 800’s to 990’s argument is allot of ............If you can ride a 500cc then a 990cc four stroke...YOU CAN RIDE ANYTHING...the 800's should be piece of CAKE!!! To CarireX, especially with his experience!!!...You don’t see Val complaining about the 800’s!!!

Yeah CapireX...will just be another rider in the field!!!...You mark my words "gsfan"...Suzuki will do JACK .... in 08!!!...there struggling in 07 except in the wet stuff and that is with CV's experience in the wet!!!...and Laguna where if it wasn’t for CV’s effort they would just be another very ordinary or nonexistent factory team!!!

Let Schwantz manage the SUZUKI TEAM!!! And then you will see some results...the asylum at Suzuki have to change for the team to achieve anything of greatness!!!

What are you going on about. Did you not watch Laguna closely? The warmup had Ducati first and Suzuki 2nd and 3rd. They were the only ones close to Stoner. Race had Stoner 1st and CV 2nd with Hopper able to finish in an unknown position due to crashing. He wouldn't have finished lower than 5th and both him and CV are high up in the standings this year. The machine is solid and getting better all the time. Yet you see a mediocre team. I don't get it.

What has Swantz managed that makes you feel he is more qualified than Denning who has managed plenty and turned the team around 180 degrees? Swantz was a great rider but hasn't managed anything in the world racing scene at all. I hear about the dissension in the Suzuki team remark around but never see the evidence.

Its not ........, the 800's are the most electronically assisted bikes ever. The 500's, it was all about the rider. Now with all the traction control, it requires a whole different style of riding, which Loris needs to get used to.

I agree, i think Suzukis increase in success owes a lot to Denning but people seem to call for Kevin to run the team just because he is a legend. I think it'd only be a smart move for publicity, he weasnt exactly the most inteligent rider ever either.

I think Loris has lost momentum in his career, hes been in the same place a long time and hes struggled top adapt to the new bike. The field has moved ahead of him and that just makes it worse for his head. A fresh start could help, but if not he should call it a day.

krazy, me too. Problem is that the bikes are a lot less stable, so its a real step back in terms of rider safety. Really would sort out the men from the boys.

Out of interest, who do you think we'd see near the top if we had no traction control?
I reckon Capirossi, Barros, Rossi, Melandri (his fitness levels are insane, they'd be invaluable) and Hopper would be the leading riders.

Funny you failed to mention the 1 guy who actually turned
the TC down in order to be able to ride the bike better this year

I didn't hear about that.... who's that? Hayden?

yeah one of the weekends he got back on the box...on the on-line feed from MotoGP.com.....they said he had the TC and engine manigment turned down...actually it was said when he passed Cris V.....

he was backing it in...great shot.

I don't think it would look very different, Stoner, Rossi and Pedrosa are the three best rideres in the world. There is so much to riding technique beyond throttle control that these guys can do better than anyone else and non of them are gonna be ham-fisted are they (250 riders). Take away the electronics and i think the riders would perform on very similar levels no matter how many of you dream that the guys you like would all rise to the top if it was still a "mans sport"
