who's on which Honda?

K

Katt

okay, so who has which model/year Honda?

<
been really confused coz im hearing all different models and years on another forum and then different models and year AGAIN from lousy commentators.

so who is riding what?! ... and what are the differences?!

Hayden is the only rider on the 2006 spec RC211V. Pedrosa is on a 2005 spec bike with factory parts. Melandri is on the same bike but to my understanding has less help and parts than Pedrosa. Tamada, Elias and Stoner are all on equal machinery.

i dout it. he really does'nt seem to need it. next season he'll be #1 at repsol & will set the development direction.

Stealing Stoner`s promised CYT ride

Put Stoner on HRC with Pedrosa and watch him sqirm as his biggest rival gets all the parts and glory. It`d be like having Biaggi and Rossi on the same factory team.

I think IF they make Pedrosa no. 1 in development (Don`t see why, Hayden`s doing pretty well considering his baptism of fire) They`ll kep hayden somwhere. He might not be the best (Points indicate otherwise though) but he`s too good to lose. I`d like to see how Melandri could perform with a factory bike....

Honda have got more factory caliber riders than they have factory rides for 2007. I predict Yamaha will take advantage of that and snap up either Hayden or Stoner.

still on the repsol team. but to be realistic you've got to say mb will be the guy the'll concentrate on in 07. smaller bike, smaller engine, it's all gonna be bout mb.

Just because it`s a smaller engine dosen`t mean it`s gonna be a smaller bike. Have you seen the 2007 weight restrictions?

As far as size of the machine goes, Pedrosa's is identical to Melandri, Stoner, Elias and Tamada. Pedrosa's bike is the same as the others but with added bit pieces developed from Hayden's evo bike. Hayden's bike is the most radically different from the others and how much difference there is is unknown.

RPM forum? A bunch of Crashey loving V8 fans? What would they know? You can tell most of em are so biased towards Stoner. This is the real motoGP forum!

i joined that one last year when i was extremely desparate ... and it was before i found this one (WHICH IS SO MUCH ....... BETTER BY THE WAY!) ... they all love stoner and rossi ... and barely know .... about motogp or motorcycles for that matter ... but i scabbed that pic of melandri pashing his mechanic from there thou... hahah that was a good find

oh yeah and just to talk up this forum a little more ...
people here actally know more than i do ...
on the RPM forum ... i seem to know more than the majority of posters, which is a ....... miracle considering i dont know how an engine works or the gearbox works either.
on this forum we have both the techincal aspect and the bitchy/ gossipy aspects ... which is ....... brilliant.
here we can joke ... any thing said n RPM Forum is taken seriously "OH MY GOD SHE DOESNT LIKE ANT WEST! SHES NOT AN AUSTRALIAN....WE LOOK DOWN ON YOU" whereas you guys shrugged it off just as you shrug off richo's taunts about stoner or crashey or whatever his name is now.
too much alcohol and not enough sleep.over and out ... im off to Collaroy to find GOD

Totally agree Katt, This forum is great in every aspect, posters, content, level of moderation, it`s all perfect. It`s the only forum I`m on

Nicky is apparently running pieces that HRC is looking at putting into the 800cc machine, so I can see how some of them got confused about the model year, but it is still the 2006 'Evo' or 'Lab' bike. Pedrosa is still on a works 2005 spec bike with trickle down parts developed from Nicky's machine. Melandri is also on a 2005 bike with factory support and Tamada, Elias and Stoner are all on customer 2005 bikes. There is no such thing as a 2007 RC211V, you can tell your friends at RPM that I said it.

RPM is an Aussie TV show about motorsport, obviously they set up their own forum. Anyway all they do is crap on about the Domestic touring cars, formula 1, worshipping Webber, a bit on MotoGP when Stoner does somthing worth mentioning, like a podium or a pole. I doubt they really know that much about motorcycle racing at all.

Hayden will probably still be at Honda (unless he moves), but as second rider.

Jeremy Burgess expressed a lot of interest in getting Hayden the second factory Yamaha seat behind Rossi for 2005. Burgess wants to work with either of them very much once Rossi leaves so I wouldn't be surprised to see either of them at Yamaha or Burgess back at Honda.
