I read a very interesting interview last night with HRC General Manager Tsutomu Ishii at RoadRacerX.com. The most interesting piece I read is that Hayden's RC211V is only at 60-70% of its potential. I have also read elsewhere that Hayden has been starved for parts this season. Since HRC are essentially developing three bikes (the 800, the 2006 RCV Evo and 2006 RCV Spec) parts have been few and far between for Hayden. Parts have been trickling down to Pedrosa and Melandri for their 2006 'Spec' model RCVs but Hayden has received very little in the way of parts. Rumors suggest Hayden has been requesting suspension bits to improve rear grip since Jerez and was told the bits would come for Le Mans. The RCV suspension parts arrived in Le Mans, although they were for Melandri's 'Spec' model and not Hayden's 'Evo' machine. Have HRC taken on too much for 2006? Certainly they are not struggling for results but if the factory riders can't get parts fast enough then that tells me something. You can read the full interview with Ishii here.

I've also heard about Nicky having to wait a lot to get new parts. .... HRC ain't what it used to be.

Nicky hasn't said a word on the record and I think this is smart, if he started complaining he could end up like Biaggi, banned from the GP by the HRC yakuza!

Yeah, HRC have bitten off even more than they can chew this year, (Not that it`s their achillies heel. Honda riders will walk away with their fair share of silverware this year) but next year should be a little easier for them, development wise.
It must be hard for Hayden right now. after an age on the factory team he finally get`s the number 1 spot, becomes the leading Honda rider in the points count, the most consistent rider, then HRC ignore him. Just when it looked like he was getting the hang of development too.

Wost part is, if HRC .... it up this year, you know he`s gonna be the scapegoat. But at least if that happens he`s got options at Yamaha. What that`s gonna be worth after 2007 remains to be seen....
