If Pedrosa is ruled out of the USGP on Friday, who should HRC have lined up to be his replacement at Laguna Seca?

I've listed all contracted Honda riders, let me know if I should be adding anyone else to this list.

NONE of those guys would fit on Pedros bike m8

Well someone's gotta ride it. It's not like it really fits Nicky either. Oh and for the record I have not looked at WSB or BSB schedules, sorry.

Kiyo tends to be the official HRC do it all man, but I'd expect to see an American given the go. Hodge turned down the last one because hes scared of looking bad (Miguel realised those fears) so i'd say Zemke, or what about Hayes?

I think Zemke is faster than Duhamel by a fair margin, the only reason Zemke lost his ride is because Miguel is American Honda and he'll never be forced out. Zemke wouldn't be a terrible choice if you're limiting it to American riders riding for Honda. It's either him, Duhamel or Hayes and I don't think Miggy will go near a GP bike in competition again and I don't rate Hayes very highly.

Okada is the logical choice, i don't think the factory honda team are the type to offer one ride deals to anybody outside.

I can also see no one taking his place.

I knew I was forgetting someone and that is exactly who I did NOT want to forget. I'll make the change.

EDIT: I can't remember how to change a poll. And didn't Tady break his arm recently?

I voted for Checa. He is still in good form and I would love to see him come in and spice it up with Stoner a bit. Then all we would need is a little bit of Giberneau and viola you got a UFC Championship out there.

Honestly i think IF Dani can't ride, HRC are unlikely to give the Repsol bike out for random try-outs like Kawasaki and Suzuki. However why not let Andrea Doviziozo ride the bike, and increase the chances of keeping points away from Rossi (Stoner has already won the race).

Anyone think Repsol will draft up a SAT team member and then make them pull a rider from the other ranks? (if contractually possible)
