I'd be gutted to see either T3 riders lose their ride to Bradley, sorry, but he's just not getting the results to justify the step up.

I would dearly love to see Redding get on a motogp bike though, it actually looks sore seeing him folded up on the Moto2 bike.

Totally agree mate, he just doesnt have the minerals...for him to get a ride on the M1 would be a massive injustice and pretty big kick in the stones for the other 5-6 riders who consistently beat him.

it just occurred to me though that him and dimeglio are the only ones on a tech3 chassis right?who knows maybe that chassis is utter crap and hes the next casey stoner

Scotty is looking more deserving than Bradley at the moment.

Apparently Scotty too hotty is highly coveted by the main men at ducati. Could just be hearsay

I've heard that too, bit o devine intervention from Willski needed, Scott, send £50 to Willski, Heaven, Engerland, near Scotland

Tell ya what Scotty, just send 30.00

I don't want everyone to think I am into this bible business just for the money

Well, in reference to Bradley, i also have to agree he doesnt look too deserving. But then again, neither did Crutchlow. But he has made it work. So, who knows. But Redding is certainly looking the part.

Have to agree - if Smith is going to MotoGP then it's definitely going to be on a CRT. Pretty sure Herve was talking about working on a chassis for the R1 that wasn't going to be ready for this season, so probs had it in mind for Bradley 2013.

Hard to say if T3 will maintain the two M1's or not though.

If we use the logic of the deserving of rides being down to current performance on a poorly handling bike, there are at least a couple of riders that are currently in MotoGP that don't deserve it. 0.o

Given that he runs the winningest satellite team over the last 10 or so years, Herve Poncheral would have his pick of riding talent. So it would seem that, given his consistency and his penchant for spotting talent, that he knows something you lot don't about the qualities of Bradley Smith.

Looking at his pedigree, it doesn't say World Champion, but then less than half the field has that against their name...

2006 - Debut year, Rookie of the Year

2007 - 10 top-ten finishes, first podium

2008 - 3 poles, 4 podiums

2009 - Picked by Aspar (another smart talent-spotter) 2 wins, 9 podiums, 3 poles, second in the championship

2010 - Again st Aspar, 1 win, 6 podiums, 3 poles, 4th in the championship

2011 - Signs with Tech3, charged with developing the Mistral 610, 3 podiums

He is on what is probably the least funded and developed bike on the grid - considering that everyone else scoring any points is on an FTR, Suter or Kalex chassis, IMO he is doing alright.

At the end of the day, I will let my expertise take a back seat to the likes of Poncheral, Martinez and co. They see something in him, to the extent that he is given a three-year contract!

Any lack of current form is down to the bike. Tech3 just haven't got the resources for the R&D that FTR, Suter and co have. Despite their lack of resources, Smith is currently in 8th place, behind a raft of Kalex and Suter chassis. (Iannone is on a Speed-Up chassis - which is a modified FTR - different swingarm).

Smith doesnt look like he would deserve a ride in MotoGP yet, at all...

But on the other hand Im really thinking that Spies will go to HRC next year - Theres no reason Lorenzo would want to leave Yamaha, and Spies obviously isnt happy, and no other ride on the grid really, really looks like they have the potential for it, except maybe Crutchlow.

While he was at Aspar, he was beaten regularly by his team mates. And his Moto2 results are somewhere between 'not too impressing' and ' quite ok'.

I think he deserves a decent test ride in order to prove his potential, but handing him a 'real' contract for 2013 is ridiculous.

I don't understand this whole mindset that if you are not the winner, that you are a loser.

There are 25+ riders in a 250/Moto2 race, only one of them can be the winner. As to being 'beaten regularly', not unexpected - they had six years/two years more experience GP racing than Smith when he started with Aspar. Simon is in his 11th season in GPs. And that is a world of difference from 'beaten continually' - he beat them to the top step three times, he beat them in the race more times than that.

There were three riders in the Aspar team - Smith, Simon, Terol. How are Simon and Terol doing? At Catalunya, their home track, they finished 3 places behind and DNF. How about last year? Smith finished 7th, Simon finished 14th.

This year Terol is nowhere, despite his winning the WC last year. I guess if you stay in 125s for Aspar long enough (7 years, in his case), you are bound to win something.

I don't particularly have a dog in this hunt, but I think the figures for Smith are better than the approbation he is receiving would deserve. He's a solid rider. I can see why Tech3 like him - he's smart, articulate, and can ride damned fast.

If he carries on in MotoGP the same way as he has managed his career to date, he will be a good member of the circus.

I'd be surprised if HRC wanted him (depends how loud Honda USA shout I suppose), the way things are going at the moment I'd expect Spies to climb down the ladder pretty quickly. He needs to pull his finger out

Spies is looking sadly joining the list of Bayliss, Foggy, Corser and Toseland. Great on a superbike, but a GP bike is a step too far.

I'd love to see him turn it round, but I think in today's climate, things are not looking good.

I'd agree if he didn't look so good in 2010 and at times in 2011.

he will still come good, don't stop believing

a honda which is more about hard braking /accelerating might be just the thing for him.

watch his wsbk performances, if i'm not mistaken that wasn't about corner speed..which unfortunately is exactly what the m1 dictates

I think its safe to say Spies has little chance of scoring a factory Honda, and neither will Rossi it seems. Oh yeah and the headline:Honda threatens to leave!
