Interesting interview. They dint want VR under Honda banner but will prob supply factory spec bike if the price is right. His blind support of Pedro is lame. They ask him about Lorenzo and he feels the need to stroke Pedro. It seems everybody has drank the Marc koolade, but hes an unknown quantity on 1000s. Its likely he will succeed, but the way all these "experts" talk about him as a foregone conclusion is funny. Marc needs to concentrate on not killing anybody or himself first.

Also, interesting that Dovi turns up the TC and Stoner least. So much for Babels trackside diagnosis. Oh, and despite Hayden matching his darling teammate (other than rain result) he remains invisible. .... Honda. Threatening to quit because they dont get their way with the rules. It wouldnt bother me one bit for them to leave GP, along with all the fools who claim theyre "fans" (pov/bird) who pout about a change in rules. Chicken .... MFers.

I agree with this part, But when you see Pedrosa being with Honda in all his racing seasons it may sound a little reasonable. I think for some personal reasons (most of them wrong) Jorge and Nicky are on Nakamoto's .... list, Just like the way Pedrosa is the number one guy in yours. It just won't come out
<
with all due respect don't you think your dislike over the stupid midget is a little bit blind just like Nakamoto's support?!?!? Pedro and his crew may sound like a .... but a silence treatment for them will be sufficient. don't you think??

Just to let you know I respect all of your thoughts over the sport and I have learned a lot from your posts so there is no reason for me to start a fight conversation.

Cheers

Given that he runs the winningest satellite team over the last 10 or so years, Herve Poncheral would have his pick of riding talent.

Doesnt that honour go to Gresini Honda?

As for who replaces Stoner, I think Curve should....

I think he has to say nice things about Pedrosa, to hedge his bets. If HRC don't get Lorenzo, and are seemingly ruling Rossi out of a factory seat, then they'll need to keep Pedrosa.

Since it's pretty clear that Lorenzo can write his ticket, I wonder how long in the season he'll wait before pulling the trigger. I imagine it'll be a mad scramble for seats after he does. Lorenzo just has to decide if he wants to try the waters at HRC or stick with Yamaha. Staying at Yamaha looks like it would keep Rossi away from official factory machinery, if that would concern him.

Doesnt that honour [the winningest satellite team] go to Gresini Honda?

In the last ten years, it surely has to. Especially since I don't think Tech 3 have ever won a race in the MotoGP class.

Could be - it is Tech3 that is always mooted as being the most successful satellite team... I guess it depends on criteria. If it is race wins, the don't have a bunch of them.

i guess you could make a case for that though, when was the last time a privateer team won a gp?i don't think that has happened since the 990 era or did i miss someone?

and in the past couple of years i think they scored the most podiums which is really all a satellite team can hope for these days

Repsol Honda 2013

Marc Marquez

Cal Crutchlow

Yamaha 2013

Jorge Lorenzo

Andrea Dovisioso

no way.

i'm not ruling dovizioso out of a factory yamaha seat but its unlikely he'll end up there. as of now, i think crutchlow and spies have better chances

marquez is relatively safe at hrc next year,so they need a proven race winner.and thats pedrosa. i really like cal but who in their right mind at honda would fire dani to get cal?

hate to say it but if he doesn't land on the factory yam (which i'm hoping for) his best chance of a factory ride is with ducati. hope he's clever enough to say no to the offer should there be one

I agree HRC is a done deal for next year and as much as i pains me i dont think Cal will get a factory M1 but if he goes to Ducati we may see somthing spectacular,Cal is very talented, focused and very hungry and i dont believe Rossi and to some extent Nicky show that level of hunger anymore, perhaps with a fresh rider and allow the engineers to do there thing instead of trying to turn it into an M1 they might go forward because at the moment its not going anywhere.

Except when Nelves? Neemes? demonstrates skidding the bike to a stop with the back brake and you call it "backing it in"

you really are a huge "know .... all" reg.

Arrab offered to send you a dvd with Jamie Whitham explaining the concept, you declined. Wasn't me who quoted anything from MCN. I stopped reading it when Duckworth took over so get your facts straight.

Micheal Neeves, and he doesn't - he employs the downshift to ...... the rear using the back brake for stability which is what we'vve been trying to explain to you for the last two years.

Who to believe? - established journalist, senior road tester, racer, instructor and biographer, or an anonymous internet bragger and deranged dingo ...... with a self confessed penchant for bestiality.

As I have invited you to do so on inumerable occasions - please explain to us what you think exactly constitutes backing in a motorcycle?

good article on silly season at kropos site. http://motomatters.com/analysis/2012/06/19/motogp_2013_silly_season_what_we_know_fo.html

i wonder how many prototypes we will see next year, i can't see a team (even if pramac isn't affected by finances) leasing a desmo over buying 2 aprilias.whats the deal with the GP0 anyways?ducati should focus on getting their gp12 right , that would be much easier if there was more data available i guess

interesting that kropo doesn't mention a performance clause for smith, it looks like he is definately going to ride one of the 2 satellite yamahas next year.that will leave either spies, dovi or crutchlow without a ride on a prototype next year if rossi doesn't leave ducati

also interesting that rossi would be second fiddle to lorenzo if he joined yamaha. i would think if vale is humble enough to not make special ,expensive demands, yamaha would be happy to provide him the same bike and support. i mean which manufacturer wouldn't want rossi winning and thus have their logo plastered all over ads in bike mags and on energy drinks

The ones he alienated on his way out the door. The same ones that are winning every race without him.
