He allready said in an interview that he has to change his style and adapt to the electronics cause he uses very little TC compared to Stoner. He says he has fix the problem with the front of the bike but he now has to fix the rear. Maybe the duc is not good for him. Hes a hell of a rider. He should have stayed on the honda. He was the second bridgestone rider on the field last seaon. On a .... bike. compared to the rest of the field.

Either he has trust on the TC or give the bike to one of the rookies who would probably learn to cope with it faster.

Word on the street is that he is having an arm pump problem...

too much HONG KONG .... i suppose...any advise PINKY?

I said Marco would let us know whether or not Stoner is the real deal.

I guess now we know.

Melandri isn't even within a second of Stoner yet.

Personally I never believed it. I remember writing here that the Ducati is a very difficult bike and that Melandri has never been good at setting up bikes, even the easy ones. I am sorry for Marco if my evaluation was correct, but the mess he's in, unfortunately confirms it. At least for now.

He's been on and tried the Yamaha, Honda and now Ducati .... he won't ever win a MotoGP title ... IMO!

It is said that "the cream comes to the top" - unfortunately for Marco he is the "curd"!

He did nothing on the Yamaha except get injured a lot. He only rode the Honda well when everything was perfect. I don't know why Ducati employed him. Was he first choice to replace Loris?

Their first choice was Hayden, if I remember well, but Nicky preferred to stick to Honda. I would still like to see Hayden on the Ducati though... Second choice was Melandri, third choice Stoner.

Before Stoner demonstrated he could actually stay on a bike long enough to win races consistently, he wasn't on anybody's short list. Ducati were the only ones offering him a factory ride. They've been lucky Gresini kept Melandri forcibly for one more year and obliged them to go to Casey.

because the season has not started yet. come on pinky you could have at lest waited a couple of races into the season before you start waving your stinky finger.

Common Rog!!! get with the picture!!

Pinky works on "being brash" ....... had he waited till say round 2 or three I think Pinly was affeared he may have missed the opportunity for being brash ( it would have been a forgone conclusion by that stage!!) ....... which is a sad testament to how Marco seems to be going

I still think that Marco is one of the better riders out there.
If you don't believe it than remember he is one of the few who could actually
run with Rossi and still win.
The only others I can remember who have done that is Sete, Loris and Stoner.
I think he'll eventually be allright.

I had a lot of respect for him until PI 07.

He was in the race. He was pushing hard, he looked like he could score a podium. He made a few consecutive mistakes, and it appeared as though he gave up and settled for a dodgy mid-pack finish.

He's either beaten-down or spoiled. Maybe Honda were right not to give him a Repsol ride.

I had the feeling in Phillip Island 07 he got the tyre choice wrong?
I can remember one of the reporters ( mamola perhaps? ) reporting that his rear tyre was completely stuffed after the race.

Melandri didn't test well pre-06 so i'm not too worried just yet. But marco isn't someone who does well when the bike doesn't work out the box, and has more than confirmed that the Ducati is a beast to ride (as has everyone else whos ridden one). It might be a less than ideal situation for Marco but it only puts Stoners achievements into perspective.
