What is your opinion on CS’s poor performance at Misano race and his excuse?

The real storey - CS wants to make the remaider races more challenging to keep himself in the groove as for riding alone up front he's bored
<

What ever the reason riders keep there cards close to their chest. A rider will rarely admit he was just plain beaten by his rivals

CS may or may not be lactose intolerant as claimed for the problems of 2009.

If you look at the facial photos from that year, it is obvious he was anorexic.

I think he got caught up in a "Pedrosa syndrome".

In an effort to negate Danny's weight advantage, Casey starved himself.

Eventually he was too week to race and had to take time off to recover.

This may be happening again this year.

Other riders are also pushing their minimum body weight limit.

Rossi looks much thinner than in previous years, almost frail.

Casey needs to fuel himself, as well as the bike, the morning of a race.

Proper food and liquid during the morning warn up will help himmake it through the race.

Interesting point. I think the real story here is , casey said he was tired. Why was he so tired? Was it just jetlag, was it poor diet or is it illness. Are HRC forcing their riders to do PR stuff inbetween races instead of resting?

"At the beginning of the race I was cautious as there were a few spots of rain, once this cleared up I was pretty comfortable behind Jorge, I didn't feel the need to push and then tiredness suddenly hit me. It was hard to find the braking points and change direction on the bike, there was nothing wrong with the tyres, nothing wrong with the bike, the team did a great job and gave me a fantastic package, I'm just worn out. I had to put in a lot more effort into Laguna and Brno, riding a lot harder than I normally would. This together with the neck injury from Assen has finally caught up with me. For the second half of the race I was just too tired, simple as that, I'm very grateful to have finished on the podium. All credit to Jorge, he had a fantastic race, hopefully by Aragon I'll be fully fit and recovered."

Do you think that this was done by Stoner and was an arrangement with the FIM officials to keep interest in the championship for the next few rounds? Because Stoners flimsy excuse is just not like him and he never ever portrayed this fatigue in the past of any GP this year??? So want is happening here???

Stoner can't ride the bridgestone soft tyre (or medium as they call it), so if conditions suit that tyre he loses. Jorge has even put the soft tyre on when it is unlikely to be suitable just on the off chance, and is not all that easy to beat anyway.

et

Yes he did get beaten fair & square...I’m not doubting this ....BUT WAS THIS TO MAKE THE W/C better and more interesting??? Is this true??? It’s a bit doubtful that all of a sudden Casey is on a sickness spell by the FIA??? This is ........ of the FIA and Motogp hahahaa …I DON’T KNOW BUT ITS VERY DOUBTFUL???

Something is fishy about that race. I think you might be onto something. I would say Casey was asked to mislead both Jorge & Dani. That way Jorge believes he's back in to game & forces him to go to Motegi. The lame tiredness excuse would be reminiscence of 2009.

.

The fact that Stoner blamed himself and not the bike or tires sounds sincere to me. Why was he feeling weak? Who knows but it could be the lactose intolerance again... In that case he just needs to be more careful with his diet.
<

He's having sleepless night 'cause he's so worried about raising a child in a world where people waste their time worrying about such ......... No wonder he wants to live and raise his kid in the middle of nowhere.

BTW have you all seen Snookie's new nose job? It really needs commenting on,

If they are making stoner do promotional stuff it has been (perhaps unsurprisingly) ineffective, since none of us are aware of it.

As I said, I don't think stoner can ride the soft tyre, or set up his bike to last the distance on it anyway. He never gets much advantage from it in practice even for single lap pace, and I think has been on it in all of the races in which he has finished 3rd this year. Misano is not a favoured track for him anyway, he has not done well there other than in 2007.

In the end I thought the lactose intolerance thing made sense, but I doubt it had much to do with the misano race. I am sure he was genuinely fatigued, but I suspect his tiredness took effect when he realised as the race developed that jorge and dani were better on the day on this particular track in the conditions, because they set up their bikes better and rode better particularly in terms of making their tyres last on this tight track in cool conditions.

If his worst result is the occasional third on tight tracks in particular conditions I think he, and his fans including me can live with it. Jorge more or less seemed to have conceded that he can't beat him on the hard tyre, whether due to their respective bikes/equipment or not, in conditions which suit the hard tyre going by some of his tyre gambles in recent races prior to misano. If jorge and yamaha have made a significant general advance this will soon become apparent on the upcoming tracks.

This whole thread is rubbish from the get-go, btw, as I am sure you realise.

I reckon jet lag and maybe Adriana's got a bit o the old morning sickness,

Screwed my ex missus n my sleep pattern for bout first 3 months of her been preggers. Life was hell!

Bio rhythms shared between couples can be surprisingly strong. When I travel by myself for work I always

sleep late, but as soon as I'm home in my own bed with the wife, I automatically wake at the crack of dawn

without so much as nudge or a bit of noise.

Yeah. So did I when I was with her but I think alcohol because I was a stranger in a strange land had a bigger part to play in the sleeping late than anything else!

I have been sitting back and watching on this thread and I now have a diferent opinion on that.

There has been some interesting, and constructive discussion, after the initial jibe at Scotty.

Interesting that third is categorised as poor... i think if he came 7th this would be poor but every one has there own opinion.

I do believe it would be very wise of him to pull a few more "poor performances" and not push too hard from now on but he doesnt appear to have that restraint.

Livio Suppo must be pretty pissed off now, he went to Honda a year ago to pave the way for this preferential treatment Stoner has been getting. & Now he is "tired", just like in '09, bless.

Preferential treatment? I thought that was a Rossi prerogative.
<

What preferential treatment is Stoner getting, anyway...?
<

Preferential compared to Dovi i would think. I bet he is test mule for stoner and pedro.

I do not think that Stoner is getting any preferential treatment, and he doesn't need it anyway. Pedro and also Sic sometimes can match Stoner's speed on the same bike, Dovi still seems to have trouble making that last step. He's a fine rider who could even win a title thanks to his consistency if others have a bad year, but still a little tame overall. No conspiracy needed to keep him behind Casey...

I would think that IF Casey was getting preferential treatment he has more than justified it, since Casey's arrival in the team he has lifted Dannys and Dovis efforts, performance call it what you will purely by his presence there. Even if Danny had not been taken out by the hairball (and that could also be argued to some degree) I still think that Casey would be leading the WC.

Remember that Lorenzo has to win every remaining race to win the WC (barring CS crashing or being taken out again) something that would be very difficult. Maybe he slip Rossi some more cash again: :b

Cheers

Actually Rog (and I know you were not having a dig either) I would say that Dovi is no test mule for CS at least and I say this as I recall reading that all Factory Honda riders have full and total access to the other Factory riders setup and data.

Except that of ......................................................... Pedrosa (who it was reported does have access to the other three)

That said however, I do not think he is getting the treatment that is necessarily fair as (IMO) this has been far and away Dovi's best year.
