What is your opinion on CS’s poor performance at Misano race and his excuse?

Oh brother
<
Why anyone directly responds to this ...... is beyond me.

+1

Nobody's perfect, not even Casey - funny that for him coming 3rd is considered a poor result. Still miles ahead of most when not feeling his best, I'm not a massive fan of his but his record this year is undeniably great. We can hardly speculate on why he didn't win other than by looking at what he said - he was tired - and how he rode, the rear tyre didn't look great by the end of the race. Whatever it was, Lorenzo is fired up now, so it's good news for the rest of the season.

I am convinced Happy feet is actually Johan Zorco trying to down play what a giant moron he is. Casey probably had to spend the whole night, as usual, fending BarryCunt off his wifey's teets. As we are all aware of BM's love for breast milk. So Casey was a bit tired that day..........Well this all makes more sense than .... for brains theory does.

uh poor performance he finished on the podium

thread closed read a book have a .... get a life

Scotty well done mate! Your investigation skills AND sentence construction and punctuation are both COMING ALONG WELL!! Not to mention that you could REALLY BE ONTO SOMETHING HERE!!! I've seen Ezy talking to Casey (you know the way he used to talk to Vale back in the day) and if you see Ezy in the picture then that always means that DE .... IS GOING DOWN AMIGO!!!!

Bravo Scotty!!!!! This motogp forum is all the more colourful with you around - never ever leave!!!!!!

It's a shame that adding Scotty and other chronic tards to your ignore list doesn't also hide the threads they spawn...

"At the beginning of the race I was cautious as there were a few spots of rain, once this cleared up I was pretty comfortable behind Jorge, I didn't feel the need to push and then tiredness suddenly hit me. It was hard to find the braking points and change direction on the bike, there was nothing wrong with the tyres, nothing wrong with the bike, the team did a great job and gave me a fantastic package, I'm just worn out. I had to put in a lot more effort into Laguna and Brno, riding a lot harder than I normally would. This together with the neck injury from Assen has finally caught up with me. For the second half of the race I was just too tired, simple as that, I'm very grateful to have finished on the podium. All credit to Jorge, he had a fantastic race, hopefully by Aragon I'll be fully fit and recovered."

Do you think that this was done by Stoner and was an arrangement with the FIM officials to keep interest in the championship for the next few rounds? Because Stoners flimsy excuse is just not like him and he never ever portrayed this fatigue in the past of any GP this year??? So want is happening here???

Something is fishy about that race. I think you might be onto something. I would say Casey was asked to mislead both Jorge & Dani. That way Jorge believes he's back in to game & forces him to go to Motegi. The lame tiredness excuse would be reminiscence of 2009.

.

The fact that Stoner blamed himself and not the bike or tires sounds sincere to me. Why was he feeling weak? Who knows but it could be the lactose intolerance again... In that case he just needs to be more careful with his diet.
<

I think the causes for his "poor performance" was the jet lag, the fact that 2 difficult and hot weekends were separeted by only a few days, a few bad nights sleep, lack of training....that explains it all.

Did anyone see bits of rubber hanging out of Stoner's front tyre during the race? I thought that was the problem.

bunch of pathetic hypocrats - All you haters here will buy into any Rossi-Dorna conspiracy no matter how idiotic it is.

No No No.

If you seriously believe this please take your happy feet somewhere more deluded.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A WEEK MAKES

I've got to say, I'm more than a little surprised. Last weekend at Indianapolis Jorge Lorenzo looked for all money like he had no answer to the Casey Stoner juggernaut. This weekend at Misano he stormed back into possible title contention with an amazing ride that no one could respond to.

I'm also quite surprised that Casey should highlight sleep deprivation and muscular fatigue as the reason for dropping off so far and finishing third

(.....)

. I hope there's not more going on here health-wise than meets the eye. Yes, travelling constantly between different time zones and racing MotoGP bikes is a stressful occupation,

(IT'S THE SAME FOR EVERYONE)

but he's a young and extremely fit athlete and probably should be up to the task of backing up after a tough week on the road.

(PANSY)

I know his neck injury from Assen has also been preventing him from training as he'd like, therefore effecting his fitness,

(YEAH RIGHT HES DONE .... SINCE ASSEN)

but I'm still a little puzzled at his performance.

Seriously are you for real???

Do you honestly think this sort of .... would happen or more specifically that Casey would be apart of it?

I would think it more likely that if Dorna did ask Casey to do this then he would tell the press.

What is so hard to believe about what he told everyone?

He was upfront, said that Lorenzo rode a great race, didn't try to bag the bike or team at all and was upfront about blaming himself.

Generally I don't swear on forums but .... me! can Casey do anything right?

Even when he blames no one but himself some twit still tries to dredge up some .....

BTW yes I'm a Stoner fan but I would be defending Rossi, Hayden or Abraham just as staunchly about this sort of .....

Cheers

Isn't Scotty a Boner fan? I think he meant to create this thread NOT to put down Stoner, but to praise him in the way that says even a 3rd place is bad for the likes of Stoner.

What poor performance you are talking about, he was on the podium mate. You can't expect him to win every race.

as digger said earlier he got beaten fair and square by the better rider's on the day.

The real storey - CS wants to make the remaider races more challenging to keep himself in the groove as for riding alone up front he's bored
