VR46 drops Marquéz merchandise

seems fair tho, wouldnt you do the same?!

Not me personally, let's say I raced bikes and earned 20 million a year, according to the UK tax calculator I'd still have 10.6 million after deductions. Not going to struggle am I? I think it's worth the hit to stay near friends and family.

Don't think I've posted before, but the end of the season got me all turbulent.

This is some funny stuff. I guess Rainey and Schwanz might have engaged in this kind of thing, had there been significant internet commerce at the time....

And, I always remember Gobert pissing in Slight's helmet...

Was it Slights helmet? I always thought it was Hodgsons. I think I recall Kevin Schwantz offering a sum of money to anyone who nailed Kocinskis girlfriend.

Supposedly it was Hodgson's after he branded him the 'Go-Slow'

I can't think of one worse than Rossi. Honestly, I can't think of anybody being this bad. There is this great story that the Yankees owner broke his hand by punching a wall in anger when they lost to the Dodgers, 81 World Series. When the media asked him, he said he broke his hand fighting two Dodger's fans. It was a lie, but that's a very sore loser. I never watch tennis, but the .... these athletes get away with is unbelievable. I only know because of highlights. Obviously we all know John McHoe, but recently I saw Serena or Venues (.... if I can tell them apart ) Williams laying into refs and refusing to shake hands with opposing players, etc. I also remember that Russian .... who after he was awarded a silver metal, took it off and put in his hand, in figure skating. I also remember seeing NBA highlights (i never watch that freak show as "sport") where Lamar Hoedom and LeBrand James refused to shake hands with opposing players when they lost.

But never ever have I seen a sore loser call a press conference and go insane relentlessly like this over several opportunities, calling the rivals cheaters, even the organizers were not spared saying they had penalised him unjustly. From the Sepang pre-event, to the podium conference he snubbed, to post Valencia press conferences where he essentially went full JFK/Area 51 insane, and the caught on tape chastising of the top League executive, who kowtowed to him rather than asserting any kind of spine, to tongue lashing Pedrosa and Iannone for racing, to this chickenshit move severing ties with merchandise, and let's not forget the ultimate sour grapes ..... move of not showing up to the award show. I honestly cannot think of any other top athletes going this bad over close to a month. And the fascinating thing is his fans have not only supported this sore loser, but made him out to be the victim. Did i miss anything? Its all Unbelievable. Fascinating.

This would be a great tshirt design idea: SORE LOSER, in the Rossi "the doctor" rainbow font.

The Doctor needs a doctor. The Patient.

I think we can start a poll about this ..... still seething at the start of the 2016 season. I wish Stoner will just sign up for 2016, so we can watch rossi & circus fall apart like those old Lancia's

My guess is it was the other way around, probably pushed my Marc's family more than him. But like a hurting ......, VR had to go and say 'I dumped you first'. I'm not the guy who buys that kind of crap, but understand they make a pretty good penny out of that. Glad that lying cheat is not keeping any of it from Márquez (not Marquéz:p).

Yes indeed, Rossi has has shown his true colors, what a baby.
I'm going to take my marbles and go home now...(after he "threatened" not to race at Valencia....what a joke.)
Somebody around that guy has to have the guts to slap him back to reality, they would be doing him a favor....not that I think that's going to happen....

Oh I had forgotten about that one, I need to add that to the Sore Loser list. Thnx.

I think you see that time and again when someone gets that big they only have yes men sycophants around. I see similarities with what happened to Ronda Rousey yesterday. Hopefully she handles it better then VR

Is she planning on having a press conference that accuses the kick that knocked her out a conspiracy to knock her out?

I thought Rossi settled in full with the British gov. Not so?

The tax laws in the UK at the time Rossi lived here would have been on any earnings in the UK. So that would be on merchandise sold and any race fees only. Earnings elsewhere would not apply.

Ok, I wasn't really debating that point though, just repeating what I read, which was that, whatever the tax bill was, he payed it in full and left without prejudice. I can't remember where I read it which is why I was asking if it was true.

Regarding your point, I'm surprised to hear that. Here in Aus (where it's normally closely based on the UK) it's not about where your income is derived but where you are deemed to be resident, which, in Rossi's case would obviously have been the UK. So any income or capital gain derived from any holdings in any country that was booked to him would be taxable.
