Jumk, here's how those statistics work.

If you are married in a church, you're marriage is a Christian marriage because it is a minister ordained ceremony. If you are married in the courthouse, you are whatever religion you claim to be.

I think you and I can both agree that everyone who gets married in a church is not a devoted member of the religion.

Furthermore, conservatives for the most part don't give a damn about civil unions. Civil unions could have the exact same privileges and legal recognition had by marriage, very few people would care. However, if you take two men and you try to marry them, there is a problem.

Marriage is a heterosexual institution. Heterosexuals invented it. Gays/Lesbians can have whatever they want. They can make something better than marriage with more privileges and I wouldn't give a damn.

I know in today's futuristic existential society, it is uncool to look any farther than 5 minutes in the past , but if you go back to the root of the problem, you will find the government is to blame. The government has no right to monitor marriage or most sexual behaviors. They told women if they didn't get a government marriage they would end up beaten and with no husband and many children, they told men they wouldn't get tax cuts/credits. Everyone signed up.

Why gays/lesbians are so eager to identify themselves with the government is completely beyond me. The government has kicked their ..... on many occasions for the purposes of rounding up a few extra votes. Like I said, don't look more than 5 minutes into the past. History never repeats itself.

I think you will find the secondary problem lies in people who can't handle rejection. They are so horribly unimaginative and self-unempowered the only thing they can do is beg for equal treatment at someone else's table. Get a life. You have the political clout to lobby for something much bigger and better. Equality is such a hoax. It fundamental foundation lies in the belief "I deserve more". Let's see where that road leads. The life of excess has always been worthwhile in the past.

Bro for me it is one way for you another. Cool. There is a place heaven and hell cause I know it any some of my friends who were in a very bad way suddenly when faced with a major issue and was certainly headed for the badlands had an experience they can't still to this day make sence of other than devine intervetion. Unless you have something along the lines of that I guess you will always feel the way you do. Takes many to make the world go round. So I do pray for those who don't know to hopefully have a chance to see the reality of the grand scheme. We didn't just happen to happen. To much intellignece behind us and everything. Imagine the grain of sand on the beach, then the earth, then the galaxy then the universe. You can't imagine anything beyond it cause we think linear and not infinitely. So that is a dilemma. Infinte bigness and infinite smallness is one in the same but impossible to imagine much less understand. Man we are so off topic but I guess we need to go through it some way or another. Dude just cause we don't agree we need to stop all this and get back to GP. I am tired and the joke has gone way to far.

Not once did I mention partisan ship in my post. But once again you go off on a tangent about Republicans. OUR VOTE was hijacked by 4 dirty judges on a panel and you are cool with that. This vote took place in one of the most liberal states so there must have been a few dems out there voting. I love how judges can now tell the people that they are wrong and their vote doesn't count.

I would agree the sanctity of marriage needs to be returned. Just because people abuse the sanctity of marriage doesn't mean that its okay. Divorce is out of control and far too easy and kids suffer the most out of it.
