Good close race at the front and thankfully the restart didn`t alter things too much. But SETE ...what the fk happened, you may as well gift wrap it!!

It was quite a race, too bad Gibbers gave it away. Also a bit bummed Nicky didn't take the win, he was visibly uncomfortable after the restart and he said so in the press conference. I wonder how things would have turned out if there was no red flag. All in all a good race, time for a bit of a break. X Games Supermoto next weekend if you all get a chance I recommend you watch it. Eddy Seel vs. Eric Bostrom should be the headliner this year.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>you may as well gift wrap it!!

haha! he said after the race it was mend to be a gift for hayden (late birthday present)

I've had a lot of fun watching the race, thought hayden was pretty good, consider this is his 2nd podium of this season. Ooost, I'm thinking the same thing, think that nicky would have done better with no red flag, but that is just guessing...I'm glad rossi won, I'm not a fan of gibernau, I think he's such a crybaby

Gibbers well waht can I say I think he is now officially a shot rider...

Hopper.ouch that had to hurt and was worried for him for a moment.

Nakano.great ride.

Nicky done well getting a podium but the first part of the race was visions of Laguna..

250

Pedrosa how the hell he won with his pipe almost scraping the floor.

De Angelis very solid ride.

Lorenzo
<
<
that guys a nut.

Chaz more probs with the bike
<

125

The Pogg what a big off there and a great ride from last to 11th and still getting points..

Well... here's my take on everything.

Congrats to Rossi "gimme" or not. Congrats to Hayden for the podium. He had troubles after the restart, but still managed to overtake rossi for a bit - which may not seem like much, but when has he diced with the front runners since before laguna like that. It seems to me he has a little more confidence and wont just be "settling" for 4th and 5th like the hayden of old anymore. Congrats to Gibernau as well. He pushed through and led it.

He messed up on the last lap. Lets all crucify him and pretend we know what it's like out there to have rossi breathing down your neck on turn one of the last lap.
<
...please. Shot rider? cause he finished 2nd? cause he made one mistake? come on man...

It doesn't matter if you hate him or love him, he rode a great race to 2nd place on his own lapse in concentration. thats all it takes... one little slip-up.

If it were rossi no one would be saying things like this. and by the way, while we're talking about racers attitudes, did you all miss rossi's comments about hayden on pole and how "his tires will go half way and he'll lose anyhow... so who cares" sorta line. He is starting to take on the role of a little crabby pants himself. seems like when hes not in front setting the pace and others get a little spotlight, he comes out with some interesting junk.

Maybe its just me, but i like the more humble underdogs than whats becoming basically a given win on each race. Whos gonna win next round? rossi. after that? rossi. etc etc etc.

The man is in a league of his own, yes. Hes the best, likely ever, yes. I'm rooting for anyone to finish ahead of him apart from max biaggi, yes. LOL
<

I hope no one takes that to heart or too far and understands where im comingfrom
<

dazza shot rider
<
ok hes got a head problem when rossi is on his tail but shot rider, hes still a very fast qualifier and ran a great race apart from that 1 mistake
which cost him , rossi made 5 at least at donny which didnt cost him, theres a few shot riders in gp then whod love to finish 2nd im sure?

I enjoyed the race......it was nice to see more challengers for the front slot and seeing Sete on some good form.......perhaps his best showing this year/ he certainly looked strong.

It was a shame he made that error, to see another last lap battle.........but Rossi had an enorous turn of speed on the last lap, he really gapped Sete.

It was nice to see hayden on the pace.......he looked good all weekend.

Hope Hopper is OK........he hit the deck hard!

Wheres Melandri's form gone away?..........he's not been on the pace for the last 3 races.

Shame we have a looooooooooong wait till the next race
<

Don`t be so quick to write off Sete!I think theres a resurgence of his earlier form to come in the rest of the season,I mean he showed VERY strong on Sunday...just needs to get psychological with Vale+the rest.
<

I do like Gibbers ...dont get me wrong and respect all of your views...

Shot rider was a bit harsh I admit
<

All season he has been complaining...he's lost confidence in the wet and thats a hard thing to get back and is making too many mistakes..

Yes he still qualifys well..but thats not the be all and end all.

I mean he will go backwards and the Haydens & Melandri's coming through will be future title contenders..

I hope I am proved wrong and Sete has hit Just a bad patch and will ride through it and get back to form..

That's insane! I must read about it! do you have a link?

General I read that comment from Rossi as well. I'm sure it is all head games, here's a young kid who has had a lot of hype behind him since he joined the series but never was a threat to Rossi until now. So now, Rossi begins taking shots at him and that's just the way Rossi plays. I don't like it but I don't think it's anything more than an intimidation factor. The thing I thought was humorous about that comment is Rossi makes this claim about tires going away, say all you want about Nicky's sliding style but it seems to put him near the front quite often lately. From what I've read from a couple European journalists, Rossi may not be the best rider on the grid on expired tires... jealousy fueling that comment perhaps?

I don't think we've seen the end of Gibernau, I will agree he is on the decline but I think he will still play a role. It would be hard not to with the new RCV Honda has coming.

I was happy to see a new Nicky at this race. He was out front early which is good but he has done that in the past. The real key for him is that normally when he gets passed that's it...he starts to fade away and loses position after position.
This time he was all over Rossi's rear wheel like Star Jones on a ham.
He actually passed Rossi....I am really excited from what I saw from him this weekend.

Sete is talented but metally weak. On top of that he has Rossi's words of Sete will never win another race rattling around in his head.
Biaggi started poorly but really came on strong towards the end.

I am disappointed in Colin Edwards. They didn't even show him once during the race and he was a complete non factor. Bummer...

Wow Hopkins would really want to forget this past weekend.

Congrats to Rossi, another well deserved victory.

I'm sorry for Sete, I'm not a fan of him, but this year he is not being very lucky.

Nicky and Shinya also did remarkable efforts.

GO KAWA !!!

250cc's: Pedrosa is too big a fish for this pond. I'm really looking forward for the Rossi vs Pedrosa duel.
