TT 2018 begins tomorrow and as per usual as the TT comes along the recent good weather ..... off and leaves us with a patchy looking practice week ahead of us with dodgy conditions due to run into race week according to the long range weather forecast.

I'll get all of this on week's delay. And only in the form of highlights. Count your blessings Brits.

Dunno about around you but its lovely here, maybe they should get it staged in Surrey, after all they love to give the junkies on pedal power our roads.

Yesterday was miserable but it's looking ok today, the forecast for the Isle of man isn't looking too bad now either, certainly not as bad as it was last year.

So long as race week is good, that's the main thing. But a gash practice week will probably mean no records going. I can't see a 134 without a dry practice.

Well the beauty with the TT is you can move the races about to the next day and even run them later on sometimes, I remember a couple of years ago they ran the Superstock race at 6:30 in the evening as it's still bright until about 9pm.

Practice is running now and Conor Cummins has already done a 125mph lap on a 600.

Have they not been at it all day? Weather has been decent here and I can see IOM from the beach where I live.

If Michael Dunlop carries on like this on this lap he's going to smash the Lightweight TT lap record.

Yep, Michael has beaten the Lightweight lap record on the Paton, not official though, has to be done in the race.

Dean Harrison was fastest in Supersport with Michael Dunlop half a second back, Conor Cummins was next with all 3 lapping at 125mph.

Superbike/Superstock/Supersport practice is now underway.

TT Greatest Riders show is on at 9pm on ITV4 tonight.

First practice lap is complete with Dean Harrison doing a 130 from a standing start, forget the 134, it carries on like this we'll be seeing a 135.

Superbike top 3

Dean Harrison 131.3
Michael Dunlop 131
Peter Hickman 129

Superstock top 3

Peter Hickman 130.2
Conor Cummins 129.5
Dan Kneen 128.8

Supersport top 3

Ivan Lintin 123.5
Jamie Coward 122.9
Derek McGee 122.7

Sidecars away for first practice now.

Missed that but will catch it on itv's i-player later.
Not watched any of the racing yet as I've been rather busy, but thanks for the results, looks like its been a very good start.
