cant find this on here had a quick search bit off old news 1st time i seen it

Stoner jumped at the casual question brusquely snapping that Lorenzo was perfectly alright. "Are you kidding me?" he said, lifting a lip. "He's perfectly OK. He qualified in fourth position, for crying out loud."
Fair point, I thought. Stoner's the rider, not me. He's seen Lorenzo out there on the race track, not me from my view, 100 feet up in the Shanghai commentary box with TV screens and a grand vista for comfort.
He had been in a mood and was now vexed with me, but all I did was ask a cool, calm and rational question. But what then arrived was pretty stunning.
"It's all an act, all this rolling around in the gravel trap for five minutes, y'know?" he snapped with the eyes fixed, the lip still turned. "They've got him in a wheelchair and they're pushing him around the paddock. It's all a joke ..."
I interrupted that I'd only asked a simple question to a MotoGP rider, stressing that I had (unfortunately) never ridden a MotoGP bike and so was asking someone far more experienced than me. A World Champion, no less.
At this point LAT photographer Martin Heath was taking photos and caught the moment with me pointing out the simplicity of the question. One question. You can see the results here:

The 22-year-old continued to have a bit of a rant.
I am pretty hard to offend and will move on pretty quickly with things like this, but as my colleague Julian Ryder will attest, it bugged me for the rest of the weekend. But can you even begin to imagine what Jorge Lorenzo will think when he hears that 'It was all an act'?

I agree especially how he acts on track during pratice and qualifying, Hes at it at every track and shows no class when he acts like that

He's dealing with a bunch of Napoleonic Spaniards.

I wholly support Stoner's quest to piss them off. If the commentators become collateral damage so be it. Are you really going to miss the journo slime?

I don't see the problem. Moody is a raging fanboy for whoever is doing well at the time, so he'd get offended at the suggestion his golden boy was faking it, which he was considering he was walking fine after an off in Lemans.

He did go on a bit, but again it was basically another question to which any reply would have been wrong.

so stoner is a doctor now is he. he had no right to comment on lorenzo's condition wtf does he no. i have a broken foot at the moment, some days i can walk on it and some days i cant.

Pedro shows true positive emotion these days, maybe in 2006 he was like Biaggi but not now. And Gibber's never used to act like Stoner does in practice/qualifying/warm up with Stoner thinking he is the king of the track getting peed off with anyone who gets in his way.

he was whining again after the race about his rear tyre... fair enough but valentino got him well and good there.

he didn't say that.

I thought he should have said something along the lines of fair play to rossi myself. He did immediately congratulate pedrosa on the track after the finish though.

I agree. This is not a way to piss anyone but the jouro off. No rider will even get offended by a stupid comment like that. If anything it would motivate Lorenzo to make stoner choke on those words on the first possible occation.

yeah i think riders like lorenzo will look at these comments as a sign of stress and weakness to be capitalized on. i really dont think casey is enjoying himself at the moment. he doesn't smile even when he is on the rostrum. winners are grinners but having a face like a beat up .... can when your 3rd ?

I'd be very surprised if Jorge was even mildly listening to what Stoner says just now. Numbers dont lie. Only one of those guys has had to miss a race due to injury, and he is still in front in the title race. And he has 2 years less experience on the big capacity bikes.

IMO Stoner is an amazing rider, but he is getting his head ...... by the others, and by himself. He does not seem to be able to accept defeat. Say hello to the new Fast Freddy/Lil John.

Pete
