Jorge hates birds.

mandatory pitstops hey? that should be awesome!

as cool as this will make the race, bstone should be getting a medievil hiding for ....... up the tyres so bad.

Whats this .... ive been reading that motogp riders have to come in after 12-14 laps. What the .... is this ....? Nascar. FFS

Digs, as typical (for me) as it may seem, I am not so sure that Bridgestone are deserving of a medievil hiding so much as they have simply farked up with an unknown as there was no MGP testing at PI after the resurface (there simply could not be as it was during the season). As such, they had no benchmarks to work from and to be totally fair, have bought an additional tyre that is said to not be up to the task, not because it is poor but because the surface is to grippy.

IMO, I also am against compulsory pit stops as if a rider wants to go the entire distance, and the tyres are capable then why should they be forced to pit?

After all, the coverage of MGP that I saw only really showed Cal's tyre as sub standard and having chunked so Bridgestone are seemingly being overly cautious.

Anyway, who wants to bet that the race starts dry, they swap bikes/tyres during the 12-14 lap window, then it starts to rain around lap 22 so they all come back in again for tyres?

Sensational time from Lorenzo .............. the metrognome (deliberate spell there) does it again. The guy is so damn smooth, consistent and persistent that sooner or later he will need testing to ensuret hat he truly is a human, prone to make errors as to date. All up, mega impressive.

I can't agree with this any stronger - I watched him down at Siberia and I reckon you could have put a 20c coin on his racing line and he would have hit it every time.  It's seriously mind bending how consistent he is, and fast on top of that too.

I know its illegal by the fun police ( Arab. ) but I may have dared to look at the weather radars  ......... I think its going to be wet tomorrow.

What an appologist load of ..... No official testing but would it have been such a big deal to send a tech to the track to check the coefficient of friction of the resurface to see if they were even in the ....... ball park? NO.

Either Dorna massively ...... up writing the contract or Bridgestone massively ...... up in their responsibility. Either way its a .... up. Everyone knew PI was being resurfaced and in this day and age it is unfathomable that the tyre manufacturer had no ....... idea about the surface that their tyres were to be used on. NO ....... EXCUSE!

Is it a coincidence that you equate everything to .....

You know what they say about "If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck"..... etc etc.

Hey guys. A couple from practice yesterday.

Not happy about Bridgestone & Dunlop getting the tyres wrong. Half race distance for Moto2 & probably shorter race for Motogp. We should expect better.

Great photos man! That's the first Rossi lid I've ever seen and thought about owning.

So what happens if it rains about lap 12 and the 2nd bikes are all on dry tyres and setup. Could get complicated

Very complicated.  I guess the mechanics would really earn their pay in that case.

I wonder, if it happens to bucket down tomorrow, and all races are declared fully wet, would Moto2 and MotoGP be restored to normal running conditions?

Another good question.  I'm betting that if it rains in motogp they'll red flag and change tyres like the old days.  Asking the mechanics to change wheels in race conditions is just asking for mistakes to be made, which is dangerous.  As is racing a dry set up bike on a wet track with no practice

Nice pics Friz, as usual.

Talpa is gonna have a field day with Bstones.

Race Direction should be very busy this weekend:

Bridgestone penalty points: design flaw

Ducati penalty points: GP13 complete design flaw

Mother nature penalty points: seagulls design fowl.

Nicky is saying that after blowing up their last fresh engine at Sepang, he is not sure they have 2 engines that will make distance in a flag to flag.

Speaking of engines, Krop, you want to do an update here soon. I thought i heard the announcers say that Marquez took his last fresh engine at Sepang. At the rate he has been tossing his bike down the road , he could trash an engine and find himself running tired plants himself
